I wanted to create a new thread for Summer 2017 hopefuls (it seems far away, but it will be here before we know it).
I am very excited to start this journey, but I have to finish a few more prereqs. I am wanting to buy a HESI A2 study book, but I am not sure which one to go with. Does anyone have any suggestions? I saw on one thread where a lady swore by Elsevier, but I want to make sure that is a good one before I buy it. Thanks in advance.
Thanks guys! I'm just taking it early to try and give myself time to take it 2x if need be. I am taking A&P2 over summer, and taking Micro in the fall... most likely I will have to apply foregoing Micro's points but we shall see!
Hello!! I'm applying for the first time to Summer 2017 too. I have completed everything and after filling out the packet and reading a few of these boards, I think I'm okay. But you never know who all is applying. I have 236 points, (20/20 experience points, 120/120 grades & 96/120 for the HESI. I made an 80% on my HESI. Do you think I should retake it? I know I was having a bad day when I went into it and rushed through it so I could get back to the hospital. Also my proctor had to keep logging me back in (like 3-4 times) because of "network connection failure". So I know for a fact I could do so much better retaking it. Would you?
I might be a little late, but I took A&P1 with Micro and Sociology in fall of last year. Holy stress!!!!! My Sociology and A&P were accelerated and Micro was in class with Nancy Webster. I'm still trying to recover from my hair loss, but I made all A's that semester. Anything is possible just commit to studying 24/7 with two sciences. Good luck!
Wow that's quite a load! Good job on the A's. I'm currently taking chemistry and taking microbiology and human development in the fall. I'm unfortunately gonna miss out on points from micro so I think I will just end up applying for fall of 17
It was a complete over kill on the sciences that semester. By taking Chemistry first and then Micro I really believe you are setting yourself up for success. For me, jumping back and forth between studying organs & systems to micro organisms and cells it was difficult. Chemistry already sets you up for that microscopic world of interactions. You will do great.
I don't know if this has been asked yet but can I apply while being enrolled in my last required prereq? I'm taking AP2 during the summer but the class will not end until 8/19 and the deadline is 8/1 for application. Any info would be appreciated. Enjoy the holiday weekend:) and thanks in advance.
Im not sure about ap2 Shyneluz, I know you can if its micro though from what I've been told. I would email Cheryl James if I were you to double check!!
Ill probably be applying for Fall 2017 as well since my class won't end before the deadline! Wish the deadline was extended a little longer.
