FSCJ Summer 2017 Hopefuls

Published

I wanted to create a new thread for Summer 2017 hopefuls (it seems far away, but it will be here before we know it).

I am very excited to start this journey, but I have to finish a few more prereqs. I am wanting to buy a HESI A2 study book, but I am not sure which one to go with. Does anyone have any suggestions? I saw on one thread where a lady swore by Elsevier, but I want to make sure that is a good one before I buy it. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your suggestion htadlock93. I will call her on Tuesday and post her response. I'm really hoping for spring so I don't lose momentum but maybe a break will be needed.

Micro take Lourdes Norman ... it is a tough class but you will learn a lot.

Could i get one as well cnewbol@Gmail. Com

Hi All,

Looks like we may end up classmates. I'm applying for Spring 2017...

Specializes in Family Clinic.

Hi all, I just wanted to drop in. I am starting my prereq's soon. I am waiting to see how much of my previous credits will transfer and I may be able to start in the Summer semester. If all else fails it will be the Fall 2017. I already feel so rushed with all the early deadlines and extra necessities needed. I am looking forward to all the progress everyone will make! Good luck everyone.

Why not apply earlier to the 2017 spring program?

Finally submitting my application tomorrow and I couldn't be more stoked! Good luck everyone! :)

For those applying to the '17 spring program, what were you final points rounded up to? I have 209 and I'm a tad worried.

Hi!

I just took my hesi today and did terrible. My cumulative including subjects FSCJ does not look at was 72.5.

I heard you cannot apply with anything lower than a 75 on your Hesi? Is this true?

I am applying with 176.7 total points...

I know one semester the cut off score was around 165. But I've also heard that 165 was super low compared to the rest of the cut off scores, so I'm not expecting to get in.

I got a C in microbiology, which really hurt my prereq points. Does anyone know if you can retake a class you got a C in?

Anyways, I know that my chances are very low to get in for SPRING 2017. But I am going to retest and apply again for SUMMER 2017(I feel like my chances are going to be low then too since they are only accepting 96 people).

Don't be worried. You will get in for sure. I've seen that anything over 190 gives you a very high chance.

Just keep applying till you get in. And yes a 75 is the lowest you can get on the hesi and submit with your application. Don't give up!! I would call and ask an advisor about retaking the class you got a "C" in.

Where did you hear that you have to score a minimum score of 75% on the Hesi? I just read through the nursing application and didn't see that anywhere.
