FSCJ Summer 2017 Hopefuls

Published

I wanted to create a new thread for Summer 2017 hopefuls (it seems far away, but it will be here before we know it).

I am very excited to start this journey, but I have to finish a few more prereqs. I am wanting to buy a HESI A2 study book, but I am not sure which one to go with. Does anyone have any suggestions? I saw on one thread where a lady swore by Elsevier, but I want to make sure that is a good one before I buy it. Thanks in advance.

Hi, I'm applying to the Summer 2017 term as well. Could someone please explain how to calculate points?

Hello, New Here!

Can someone please send me the application packet, my email is [email protected]

Thank You :)

What book did you use to student for the hess ? :) thank you

Was gonna wait until Fall 2017 to apply so my points from Micro will be included, but i really just cant wait and want to try to start as soon as possible. Im pretty confident that if i get a good hesi score ill be able to get in without micro. Does anyone know how many times you can take the hesi? Were there any good resources that helped yall get a good score? All im really aiming for is at least an 80.

Don't know if y'all know this or not, but I just went to north campus to get an application and the application will be online now (which should be up by oct. 15). Also they extended the deadline to around February, all fall classes will count now if you're taking any!

I went up there this morning too to submit my application. I was so disappointed to hear I had to wait, but glad they are lengthing the application deadline too. I hope this eliminates a lot of the issues they were having. :)

Hi all Im also applying for the summer 2017 term. Just studying to brush up on my sciences. Can someone please email me the packet?

[email protected]

You no longer need a packet emailed. Just go to the site and download it under the nursing program. They will not have the fully online application ready until the fall deadline .

Hey all! I just took the HESI today, boy was it killer. I didn't realize it was mandatory to take ALL sections... all in all I did better that a 75% !!! I know the application packet has been changed, but are points from the Hesi calculated the same? Do they only count the 4 necessary subjects? Do I do the /4 x 1.2 calculation? Thanks in advance!

I haven't taken it yet, so you still have to take the sections that aren't counted anyways??

Yes J. Molina. If you look at the new application it doesn't even list the sections needed. But I took the test yesterday and was told to do all 9. I have no idea what counts and what doesn't. If scoring is the same as the previous application stated. I should finish with 199.5 points. Should I retest if possible?

I would be fine with those points. I'm trying to make it to atleast 200 cause it seems like that's a guarantee to get in
