I wanted to create a new thread for Summer 2017 hopefuls (it seems far away, but it will be here before we know it).

I am very excited to start this journey, but I have to finish a few more prereqs. I am wanting to buy a HESI A2 study book, but I am not sure which one to go with. Does anyone have any suggestions? I saw on one thread where a lady swore by Elsevier, but I want to make sure that is a good one before I buy it. Thanks in advance.

I wish I could find accelerated AP2 & Micro for the summer. I wanted to apply for Spring 2017 and start sooner.

I'm sure they'll have an accelerated A&P2, microbiology might not be available though, the summer schedule should come out soon

I am taking Chemistry right now, so I can take Micro. I plan on taking Micro during the summer and A&P2 as an accelerated course in the fall. Hopefully I can find one, so I can finish before the 12/1 deadline. Anyone else planning to take Micro during the summer?

I bought the Elsevier book for the HESI2 - I am hoping once I take the sciences that the A&P part will be easier for me. Hopefully we are classmates and will get to know each other better. :-)

I'm taking both AP2 and Micro over the summer, hopefully at the Nassau Campus. I found an older edition book for each of them on Amazon and am reviewing AP1 (because I took it in 2011). A lot is coming back to me. My goal is to read and study WAY ahead before classes start May 19. I'm taking HESI2 early in the summer and then again (if I need to) in October.

I'm taking chemistry over the summer and micro in the fall. Hopefully there will be a micro class that ends before December 1st so I can get all the points for it. Any professors that yall recommend?

I haven't taken classes in 5 yrs, so I can't really comment on the teachers. I hope you find a micro class to fit your schedule.

I haven't taken classes since 2012 and those were all business-related classes. I am no use to you on that question, sorry!

Hey guys! I will be applying for Summer 2017 as well, as long as I am able to take an accelerated Micro course in Fall. Im hoping they have some 12 week courses so I can make the deadline. J.Molina, for my chemistry pre-req for micro I took CHM1020 its the Chem for Liberal Arts but it suffices for the Nursing program as well as the BSN program. My professor was Alojzy Katsura and he was great, it was an online course but pretty easy. I would definitely recommend him if you're not looking for a Chem with a lab.

Im currently in AP1 now and will be doing AP2 in summer, then Micro in fall. Im glad to see some others on here for Summer 2017..So excited and anxious, it will definitely come quicker than we know it!! :)

Htadlock, thanks! I'll definitely give him a shot if he's available during summer! My A&P2 professor I'm taking now is Cornelia Albano. Lectures are kinda boring and make me tired but I'm learning a lot in her class. If you haven't found anyone you want to take yet I would definitely recommend!

Seems so far away but you're right! It will definitely sneak up on us here soon!

Okay, so I am definitely recommending Alex Kajstura for CHM1020. He is super nice, helpful, and responds to questions quickly. I just started the class Monday. I like that he lets you work ahead. I am excited to take A&P1 and Micro over the summer. Any suggestions on professors for those classes? Y'all are so nice and helpful, I hope we get to be in the same nursing class/group. :-)
