FSCJ Summer 2014 Hopefuls

Hello, everyone!

Since I have not seen one started on this site, I thought I would go ahead and get the ball rolling. This thread is for anyone hoping to get into FSCJ's Nursing Program for the term starting in the Summer of 2014.

This is starting to seem ridiculous!

I got my denial letter yesterday. :( That's okay though, I am going to keep trying until I get in. :down:

You still haven't received your packet yet? I know you are definitely accepted because you are way above the cut off score. that is crazy that denial letters got sent out before your packet did, because if I am not mistaken, it seems like they are sending them out in order of scores.

Two questions what happen to the seats that are not filled and second is do they out the cut off scores in the denial letters? If so what's the score again?

Good question, I am not sure what they do with the seats that are not filled. the cut off score was 185.5

If you fail any class you get a second chance to take it. You become a reinstate. Reinstated students get the seats that are declined. It can take a few semesters to wait for a seat & become reinstated in the program. You cannot move forward to other terms until passing the class you retake.

At this point Beatrice91, I would accept any letter. As for you, just keep moving forward and stay determined. The NAT is such a random test, I think that If I went in again maybe I would make a 70 rather than 101. It reminds me of the military advancement tests I had to take in the Navy. It was 200 questions of stuff and most only would know about 25% of the answers if that. It was mostly luck for who advanced. Of course studying and staying calm helps. You'll get your points.

Have you called to school to check on your status and make sure your information went to the correct address?

Its spring break :-( you will probably have to wait till next Monday. But def do cause that's the last day to call and accept your seat. 24th. I have read on prior posts about calculating scores wrong and people just not getting them. But they did work with them once the error was discovered. I would even say, if you have time next Monday to just go up there in the morning. They are probably going to be busy answering emails and calls from spring break, I would show up in person. If you are in duval county and had those points..it has to just be an error.
