FSCJ Summer 2011 Hopefuls

Published

Is there anyone planning to apply for FSCJ's Summer 2011 RN program? I am taking A&PI and II next semester with Human Growth and Dev. and Sociology, then I'll apply. I am taking Microbiology during the spring prior to going into the program. I am taking the Nat in September after Chem 1032. What about you?

I read it on another post.....and I also said "I THINK" and "THAT SOUNDS LOW"

Okay, calm down.

379 seems more like it. I dont see how anyone would have come up with a number as low as 160. I wonder where that person got their info from

It doen't really matter, maybe that is what they thought was the number of seats for summer program.... Just had answered this question several times. Now the number is accurate thanks to your friend...!:)

I wonder how we can find out what day orientation is. My husband and I always go to Jamaica in April so I want to make sure I have that day open just incase i get accepted

I don't know but it seems once you receive your acceptance letter...you only have approximately 2 weeks to get all the things necessary done to start program. It seems like the orientation is about a week after letters are recieved. I got this by reading the posts from the previous semesters. Last semester was different because they met with the people who were declined first... I hope they don't do that this time because it was very strange for the people waiting to hear back. Do you guys have a condo in Jamaica....sounds fun and warm! All this "Global Warming" is making me cold!:D

I think you're right. We always go at the end of April, so I think I should be okay. Last time orientation was in March, so i think I should be okay. I wonder if the school would tell me? No, we dont have a condo, we always go to the Sandals resorts:) Yes this "global warming" is just to much for me! LOLOLOL

Jamaica sounds so nice! Unfortunately we don't have the funds to go on a vacay :( Hopefully, that will change once I'm done with the program... that is if I can find a job! LOL!

I hope that for both of us!

Yes me too. I'm already struggling to find a cna job, I just hope the economy is better by the time we graduate

I would contact ****** because he was the one to sign my transient form. They said it wouldn't have passed board if it didn't have a Dean's signiture on it. The actual form only asks for an advisor's name and campus but it should be signed by a dean to get approved. Once you contact him, sign your form, get it approved then you will recieve an authorization for transient study at another institution form. Once you have this form in hand bring it to Columbia along with your consortium form for financial aid. Be prepared to pay 50% of your tuition up front, but you will be reembersed when you get financial aid disbersement. For two classes my tuition was like $1,350. So basically $675 per class. There were some cheaper but it all depended on when and what you were taking. Hope this helps everyone! I went through hell and high water to do all of this stuff. IT felt like everyone at fscj was rooting against me, but HEY I did it =)

Not so much luck here. I contacted him and he flat out told me that for me to take my classes at another school it would require his signature and he said that he wasn't willing to do that. Sucks for me...

Well I guess after I posted all of what i went through he was probably overwhelmed with emails and phone calls. =( Maybe later on he will.........

I had a dream last night that I was accepted, but never got my letter. I found out like 15 minutes before the orientation and was freaking out trying to get there! This is going to be a tough wait!
