FSCJ SPRING 2015

Published

Hello, everyone!

Since no one has started a Spring 2015 for FSCJ Nursing, I thought I would start it. I plan on applying the beginning of September I will take the exam in august. I'm very nervous of course. I have a preq gpa of 2.87 but I have an overall gpa of 3.23. Has anyone heard that FSCJ has changed their entrance exam to the HESI A2? Anyone applying to FSCJ hoping to get accepted for the spring?

I currently work at St Vincent riverside. I will not work at all while in the program. It will be too much for me. Maybe in the 3rd term I can start working. I hope your husband gets what he wants and needs to keep your schedules to accommodate your family.

I wish my husband would not have to work but he carries our medical insurance and one income is not paying the mortgage and the rest of the bills.

well my mail just came and nothing for me today :(

I want days as well. the company I work for is extremely flexible with me since I work from home as an emergency room coder and this gives me the option to work at night and see my kids still. especially since my husband will be deployed for part of my schooling.

I am a ER/Hospitalist coder from home. Who do you work for? I work for MGA

I work for Nicka & Associates. They are based out of texas. I absolutely love coding but am not looking forward to ICD-10 that is why I decided to finally get my nursing degree

I know. I am NOT looking forward to icd10 either but I think it wont be as bad as most people think. I am already starting my cheat sheet with the icd9 and icd10 codes. I am hoping my company might implement a software program that will convert the codes (wait that's just wishful thinking) LOL.

I dont think it will be either. I just dont wanna mess with it anymore. Lol. And encoder has a feature of that but its still a mess. Lol. Fun times in the coding world right? Lol

I do love it tho. Working from home is priceless. Especially with small children.

I agree completely!! its a huge perk for me too. my boys are 10 and 8 and it makes being able to spend time with them much easier.

our kids are 4 and 6. both born in October so my son just started kindergarten and my daughter isn't going to vpk til 2015. so she is home with me :)

I just want a letter from fscj nursing department stating that I have been accepted. Gosh this is painful. My patience has never been tested in such a grueling way. I know the rest of you guys feel the same way.

I have been reading y'all's posts about having children and doing the nursing program. I myself am laying in st v riverside as we speak hooked up to the fetal monitor to see if I am in active labor. I have a two year old daughter and expecting a little boy any day or possibly today lol. I will say it is tough being a parent with kids. I just left my husband of 9 years for reasons I will not say lol but I believe anything is possible!(: especially if you have a good support

system which I do with my mother and mother in law.

Quick question... How do you respond to someone's post specifically? Like where it shows up in a white box with your response underneath.
