FSCJ Nursing-Summer 2015

Published

I haven't seen any thread for Summer 2015 Nursing Program for FSCJ, so I decided to create this one. There has been slight changes made to the program and to the prerequisite requirements.

Is anyone else planning to apply for the program? Any tips?

Words of encouragement?

Have you taken the HESI?

Is this your first time shooting to the program?

Be Positive Future Nurses!!

When I turned in my packet the receptionist said it would be 8 weeks from Feb 1st before we hear about acceptance. I really hope she was over estimating the wait time, because I can barely wait. I hope we hear by the beginning of March.

The official "wait" begins! Good luck to everyone who applied!

Speak things into existence! :roflmao:

Hello all,

I am a current term 1 student. When we applied for spring we got ouour acceptance like 3-4 weeks after deadline. Semesters before have been seeing the same trend. You guys may be able to get your packets soon as well. Good luck and be ready to study hard and stay organized. You all can do it. I just had a baby 2 weeks ago and back in classes already, if I can do it so can anyone that really wants it. Dis I mention I have a 1 almost 2 year old as well.

Hi again, I saw in some of the comments that we can only take the HESI twice a year, 90 days apart. I was talking to the workforce lady at SJRSC today and she said I am able to take it once each calander month. Is this just for St. John's program? Why wouldn't I be able to take it once each calander month for FSCJ?

Congrats on your new baby and good luck on your first term Lisa! It's there any info you can share? Maybe, what you know now that you wished you'd known before, etc? Thanks!

Ughh! This is torture.

Fingers crossed ladies. Good luck to you all

Did most everyone apply to the traditional RN program? I'm applying for the LPN to RN bridge...hoping to find some others. Regardless to which program you applied.....GOOD LUCK!!!!!!

Im applying for lpn right now but plan to bridge..

I will be applying to the bridge if I dont get in summer or fall. the bridge is one semester shorter but it is so jam packed in the first semester. from what I hear it is a refresher course of your entire year of lpn school into one semester.

Yea ive heard. But i did hear that summer is not as competitive as fall and spring.

I just wish the office would give us some hint of just how many people have applied.. just something.

I have always heard that summer and fall were so much harder to get into. Especially because summer only has 96 seats. Last semester when I applied the Secretary said that the amount of students that applied were significantly lower than they have seen in the past. So maybe that is the same for this semester. I am thinking because the amount for the test is so much higher than the NAT. The wait is killing me. Hopefully we will hear something sooner than later.

Yes, it is true summer has less seats to fill. (96) but their are normally less applicants as well. I rather apply for summer with 100 applicants.. then apply for fall which has more seating (146 Seats) with over 200 applicants.

Summer your score has less competitoon and your more likely to be noticed..
