FSCJ Nursing-Summer 2015

I haven't seen any thread for Summer 2015 Nursing Program for FSCJ, so I decided to create this one. There has been slight changes made to the program and to the prerequisite requirements.

Is anyone else planning to apply for the program? Any tips?

Words of encouragement?

Have you taken the HESI?

Is this your first time shooting to the program?

I applied at the same time as you all did last year. Our application deadline was February 1st. We received our letters on March 8th just to give you an idea of the waiting time, aka, absolute torture.

Best of luck to all of you! The wait is hell but getting that envelope is worth every moment of agony!

This gives us hope! LOL I hope the same trend follows! Since you started last year around this time, what is your graduation date?

Also, does anyone know the tentative start date for classes this Summer semester?

Hello my name is Alisa I apply for summer 2015 at fscj,I am waithing for that big envalope and I am so excided to start nursing school.I apply for spring 2015 but I was still taking microbiology and I didnt get in to Spring I missed 4 points.But my friend did and she said she is so lost and she is so scare not to pass first term.I hope we all get accepted in to the program and good lack to all of you and I hope to see you all in the program.

Hi everyone! I'm in term 2 so I thought I would come by and say good luck :)

I know the wait is hard - I remember the day I got my packet getting through the last few hours of work before I could check the mail was rough haha. But once you get the packet you will be running around to get all the titers, physicals, background checks, etc. so try to enjoy the time you have now!

Phoenix_Fire was on our thread from the fall to help us out too.. I think someone already said it but students that are terms ahead are definitely supportive of those coming in.

Veterans!! What kind of shoes do you guys at/to clinicals? I've heard mixed stories about what is and isn't allowed.

Shoes- as long as they're white and not made out of material that fluids can sink through. I have Skechers go walks in white with no problem, they're really comfortable but they started getting dirty after a few months. As long as you keep those clean you should be fine.

You can go with white leather if you want too. I don't know any kinds or brands offhand right now. Key points- white/resist fluids/comfortable.

A friend of mine who is applying to the summer program called fscj the other day about some information then brought up the mailng of the acceptance letters.. they said they have not been set out yet but are just waiting for someone (don't remember the name she said) to sign them off then we will get them!!
