good afternoon.... i just recieved my acceptance packet too! nights and weekends! have a good holiday!

I rec'd my letter today too! Congrats! How did you determine that you got nights/weekends? Is it the sticker on the front of the packett?

Yea I figured we wouldn't know until we get are packets but just having a general idea of when it might be is nice, thanks.

I wonder what happens if you get accepted and can't go to the orientation? I guess the rest of the letters aren't going to be mailed out until after the holiday... I am going to check today and then at least I get the day off tomorrow of stocking the post man and so does everyone else!

I guess that would make sense since they did say letters would be mailed out by DEC.1st .....I am just speculating and over analyzing everything. I guess I am just frustrated with waiting!

Personally, I wouldn't do it. Your safety is priceless. There are more affordable places besides Memorial.

In another post, someone said they used "Sally Serna for my BLS class and it was pretty quick and cost 25 bucks! Her number is 904.731.8230."

A little further research shows that it's a retirement community with an on-site nursing facility. Maybe this could be an option for you.

Got my acceptance today as well. How do you know if you are days or nights? I have a sticker on the front that says "daytime," is that it? I had 199.6 points (in case anyone was wondering about theirs.) I am so excited! I will be the first person in my family to have a degree! This is AWESOME! Congrats to everyone who their letters! Best of luck to us all!

@whaley. Yeah I'm assuming that I have nights and weekends by the sticker on the envelope. I'm so relieved. Time to celebrate

There's no N/W for summer? What the hell????? Why not? thats the whole reason I waited til summer

I have no idea why there aren't any nights and weekends for summer. "You know who at the nursing office" emailed me stating Summer 2011 was daytime only. Did you find my post of when I posted the schedule that she sent me? I can look again and repost it.

I got my acceptance letter today too! N&W! YES! Dang there sure is a lot to do before orientation. And we still have to go pick up the drug test form. I don't think I really understand the immunizations they are wanting though. I am seeing MMR, Varicella, Hep B (optional), TDAP (diptheria, pertussis, tetanis) and flu vaccine and TB. Is that what you are seing too? I am going to that anylabtestnow place this Saturday though. Also, if we have financial aid, does anyone know if we can use it to purchase our uniforms and skills kit? Usually our aid doesn't kick in until January for the spring term. I hope so because this is quickly adding up to be alot of money! Yikes.

There were people who could not make it when I was in the program and I think they either got to pick beforehand or get whatever was left over.

New to post and allnurses. I got my acceptance letter today and I am so excited to be joining you all!! I was one of the unfortunate ones to get my score mis-calculated, so I've been holding my breath ever since. What a huge relief!:D
