FSCJ/FCCJ Fall 2011 Hopefuls

I am terribly confused. I just received a rejection today 7/13 dated 7/6 stating that the cut off was 199.08 how could someone get in with less than than 195? My points were also miscalculated by 3 points which was still above 195.... does anyone have any knowledge of this occuring in the FSCJ program in the past?

This has happened before and they advised they do leave space for their errors. I am in the program now! Good luck to all. Always be sure your classes are counted and your are sure about your points! :nurse:

I received my call this afternoon!!! I'm in... I was on the wait list at approximately #15...so good luck to everyone who like me was anxiously hoping and awaiting the caller id to show a 766#!!! Picking up my packet in the morning!

congrats a11:11 for getting in. Did your letter specifically say you were waitlisted? Mine just had my ranking number at 177 which is 32 seats away. I'm already working on applying for spring, but you recieving a call so soon means I'm at most 17 seats away from a call with over a month till classes, I might have some hope.

Mine also just had my ranking...#162 to be exact...which makes you potentially 15 seats away from being in...I am an optimist/realist, but I am going to make this comment from the woman's tone of voice, which indicated that she was surprised that I ACCEPTED so quickly and effortlessly... it made me think that she had just been turned down several times, and she was thrilled that I could accept, and IMMEDIATELY without hesitation... I received the call at 5:35pm and she asked that I come in at 9am tomorrow morning to pick up my packet... So I will see if I can pry and get any additional information, b/c I know how NERVING it is to wait for that call, honestly, I have been very anxious but I wasn't really expecting it for another 2-3 weeks, based on previous posts...Not sure if you saw it but someone from Summer Semester said that she was #36 on the waitlist (positioning) and that she received her acceptance call about 3 weeks after everyone else had received their packets... anyway, good luck... but I also feel hopeful for you, and thrilled for me... just so nervous about the timing, and getting everything done in between some trips that I already have planned!... i'll repost tomorrow mid day if I find anything out tomorrow at 9am when I go in... got my rejection today, the cut off was 199.08. Sadly my score was miscalculated, I will address it, not sure what that will do. I really thought this was my time to get into a field I have been longer to enter...I do wish all of those well who got in! I hope you make themost of it and cherish the opportunity that you have been given!

I read your message...if your score was miscalculated make sure you go to the meeting that was discussed in your declination letter. I was declined twice, and then noticed that there was a meeting were you could go and discuss your scores and see what you could do to make things better. There were about seven applicants at that meeting, including myself, and it was determined that they miscalculated my scores (by five points) and I was accepted into the January 2011 class. Also at least three other people that I remember from that meeting started in January as well.

Don't give up!!

PS - I know of a student who got a call the Friday before classes started.

Got the call today and i'm in. Can't believe it, gotta pick up my packet tomorrow. I've been crashing by my phone picking up every call and finally got the call. Yesss i'm sooo excited. :yeah: :clpty:*wine

I read your message...if your score was miscalculated make sure you go to the meeting that was discussed in your declination letter. I was declined twice, and then noticed that there was a meeting were you could go and discuss your scores and see what you could do to make things better. There were about seven applicants at that meeting, including myself, and it was determined that they miscalculated my scores (by five points) and I was accepted into the January 2011 class. I ended up calling, e-mailing etc. Ms. ***** did get in contact with me and we did a degree audit. I am in the fall class =)

Awesome!!! Congrats!! You were 177, right? I am 179...Just two spots away!! I wonder if i'll get lucky and get a call!!??! :confused:

I'm hoping too that you get a call. Stay positive and not get too stressed about it cause there's a ton of things to do after you get a packet, and you don't want to feel too drained . I was already re-studying for the nat, and looking at my school options for spring programs when I got a call, backups help to relieve the stress a bit when stuff is out of your hands.

HEY!!!! CONGRATS!!! I was really rooting for you! and didn't you say that you live somewhere near the school?...if so maybe we should exchange info... i'm not too far away either... 9a and Pulaski...(Brand new Northside)... hmmm... let me maybe try to figure out how to send a private message... haha... yikes!
