I know this is early, but I am sure there are Fall hopefuls out there for 2011.
Anyone out there yet, or am I just overly eager?
The cut off for Fall 2011 is 199.8... so i'm having a hard time understanding why there are two people on the board that posted that they were accepted with below a 195...Personally, I applied in with a 198 so i'm on the waiting list, hoping that a seat will become available... the post a few up indicated that over the summer about 30+ people declined seats...so thats hopeful, looks like i'm about 15 on the wait list... Good Luck everyone!
Maybe it's because the person who applied with under 195 was from St. John's county???? I'm not sure, that still doesn't make sense to me either!!!
Hi Everyone. I am currently half way through 1st term (summer) and I was one of the ones that was declined and got a call about 1 week after I got my decline letter that I was being offered a seat. I believe it was 335 applicants and 96 slots, I was # 120 out of the 335. 24 people declined which allowed me to get in. So for those of you that have recvd a decline letter keep your hopes up!!!! Good Luck everyone! :)

How do you know that is the cut off? I too am a hopeful who has not heard anything...do you know if everyone who applies will at least hear something? I am starting to get confused and slightly sad

I know that is the cut off because my DECLINE letter said so... I am away in CO at the moment but had someone open my letter and read it to me, it arrived on Saturday. The letter said the lowest addmitted score was 199.8 and that there were 515 applicants, it also tells you your exact position, 144 applicants were accepted. So that you know what # you are on the wait list. Like i said in my previous post, i applied with a 198 and i am about #15 on the wait list, so i am sad for the moment but feeling hopeful, especially with the earlier post from a Summer applicant who was #36 on the wait list and was addmitted 3 weeks after the original decline letters went out. But YES, i'm still so puzzled as to how two people posted a few days ago that they were accepted with under a 195?!?!?!?..... HUNH??? and yes everyone will get a letter one way or the other, i am thinking I received mine when i did because i called and left a message that I have travel to plan and at least knowing what the cut off score was would GREATLY assist me with it. So who knows maybe the receptionist was kind enough to drop my decline letter in the mail that same day... luck me oh well... fingers crossed enough people decline seats...
wow, looks like the cut off stayed pretty high this fall. only went down 2pts from last fall. I did hear someone got in with under 194 but then, maybe they miscalculated points or that person in a different way?? oh well this only motivates me to try harder and make sure my points are too high to be rejected for spring. I still have not gotten my letter but I spoke to director at north campus and she said everything has been mailed last Thursday and Friday. final decisions are out so good luck to everyone and congrats to the people who are in.
I would imagine that with the accepted crew having to call in to campus by Thursday 7/14 and verbally "ACCEPT" their seats, that the wait list folks will start getting offered the turned down seats by Friday/Monday... if you are someone that was declined (meaning your points were under 199.8) will you please post on here and let us know that you were called and offered a seat. There is a previous post from a Summer Nursing Student who was #36 on the wait list and was offered a spot, so that should be a beacon of hope for us on the waitlist right now!... FYI... if you haven't received your decline letter yet it will tell you exactly what your placement was...out of the 515 that applied, and i believe 144 that were accepted....
I know that 2 or 3 were on forums saying that they had to decline because of lack of cash for requirements or being accepted elsewhere. Keep up the faith.
Also, we have a strict deadline to get all of our requirements done by the 25th of this month, if we don't then those seats will become available.

I haven't recieved anything yet and it is driving me BONKERS!!!! I am pretty sure I will not get accepted, but I at least want to get my letter saying what place I am at....I am planning on going through the CNA program this Fall if I do not get into the RN program (for experience).....Congrats to everyone who got in :) I hope I join you!!!
-- I will be retaking the NAT in August to apply for Spring if I don't get in...
Ok So I have been reading and watching most of you lose your minds over this process. First, relax. If you get in you get in and if you dont then you dont. Either way you will still be breathing, so in the end your all good. Now as someone who has applied 3 times and had actual friends get in I might have some insight. This isnt me talking out my you know what or me hearing from so and so or supposedly calling up the department or whatever other story people conjure up to sound like they know what they are talking about. The letters go out in waves but this isnt intended. It just happens that some go out sooner then others based on the stamp lickers doing there job efficiently, or how they come off the printer I guess. I received a decline letter the same day my friend got her accepted letter in the spring. Next, if you applied with some unreasonable low score hoping to get lucky, you wont. A LOT of people do use this as an alternate school and also as a primary for N/W. This is one of the only schools in Florida to offer a N/W. You will search far and wide for a N/W program that is legit. With that being said we have compared letters from spring and summer and have seen 1 POINT, thats right 1 point, separate about 40 people. So if you are thinking "oh wow 40 people gave up there seats, maybe my 177.56 will be good enough". It wont be. Not even close. Fall always has the highest cutoff. Also this b.s about counties is just that. They go by points as long as youre relatively close. Saw someone from st johns get in this summer. They are not goin to pass on a St Johns county resident with 197 points and take the Duval resident with 180. Just not going to happen. So as long as youre not in Nassau county....um New York, then dont get all worked up about counties. Final thought, if you stress out this much about getting in, it will kill you when you are in. I was in CCGA, so again persona experience. Good luck to everyone. If you dont get in, try applying to other schools. If you want something bad enough you will sacrifice. Anyone can succeed when everything falls into their lap, but it takes much more to push through adversity. If you want something, you have to fight for it. Gl
