FSCJ/FCCJ Fall 2011 Hopefuls

Published

I know this is early, but I am sure there are Fall hopefuls out there for 2011.

Anyone out there yet, or am I just overly eager?

:lol2:

Hey, I heard from a current student that in the middle of the semester, FSCJ changed the grading to 80 or above or you're out and can reapply. Many unhappy students. She has a 79.5 and is going through an appeal process.

Thanks for the info Superbrock. I remember reading that the grading scale is skewed, but it doesn't change the feeling of dread when I think about it.

Fellow Fall 2011 hopefuls, is it just me or do we need some good news.

Xo,

Just wanted to check in and wish you guys luck in the waiting game! I know your half way through it but keep your heads up! Those letters will come soon enough! Im half way through first term and it is going great! It has rocked my world but Im loving it. We just had our simulations today before we start clinicals. If you guys have any questions feel free to ask away! I was in the same boat just a few months ago so I know your pain!

Hey, glad you're doing well:) Are there any St. John's or Clay county students in your term that you know?

So this is my first post although I have been reading a lot from these forums for months. This is my first time applying to the nursing program. I completed my AA last semester. I am applying with 222.6 which I would normally be happy with however.....I'm a Clay resident. :uhoh3:

I know there was a Clay County applicant from "Spring 2011 hopefuls" who didn't get in with 223. :crying2:

So, I am playing the waiting game now just counting down the days and soon will start stalking the mailman.:coollook:

I'm really just so thankful for this forum because it has informed me about so many things. It's also nice to know I am in the same boat with so many other people!!!

It's July 1st.....we will know this month!!!!

With ya...I'm St. John's county....waiting, waiting, waiting:)

Approx. 24 more days until letters go out!!!

*positive vibes* :redbeathe:heartbeat:redbeathe:heartbeat

Have a safe and happy 4th, everyone!!

Hi everyone, Are ya'll going crazy yet??? Just chillaxin' with my kids, b/c I know I will have to seriously try and plan family time once school starts. I've also been dreaming about different types of jobs I would like to have once I get my R.N. There is so much opportunity out there in the world if you are not tied down to one place. Remember, not every city has 40-11 hospitals that all grads are competing to get into! Not all cities even having Nursing programs!

Well, just wanted to say to the people that were worried about undies showing beneath the whites, that technically, if you are white, you want to get the flesh-toned undies. If you get white-white ones, they will still show b/c of the contrast of the white to your peach coloring. This never dawned on me until one of my friends and I went bra shopping and I told her she needed a white bra to go under a white shirt and she schooled me that you want it to blend in with your skin color, not the color of your clothing. Hm...Learn something new every day!

Hey guys! Good luck to all fall applicants! I also applied for fall n/w but I was skimming through some of the posts and saw one that said there wouldn't be a n/w program. Is this true or has anyone else heard this? Also I am a St. Johns resident with a score 211 do I have a good chance at getting in or will my county of residence hold me back? Thanks in advance!

For whoever mentioned the grading scale....it's always been 80 and above. At least since I started pre-reqs 2 years ago. It's crappy, but that's how they get the best of the best to graduate. Good luck to your friend.

Also, there will be n/w classes. But I heard they will be at North campus.

Good luck to all that applied. Waiting has got to be the hardest part....getting straight A's is nothing compared to this :)

Hi everyone...I got my letter and im in!!! I can't believe it, the letters came out fast....woo hoo!!

OMG! I got it! Letters came out early. Thanks for posting, because I'm in AZ and had to call my husband to check the mail. I'm still so excited. Guess my trip has been cut short! Heading back to JAX next week! Good luck....hope you ALL get letters too!

Mailman just came!!! I'm in! Clay county (out of county) with 222.6 points!!
