FSCJ/FCCJ Fall 2011 Hopefuls

Published

I know this is early, but I am sure there are Fall hopefuls out there for 2011.

Anyone out there yet, or am I just overly eager?

:lol2:

28 days ladies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Keep it going.

Has anyone else sat in one of the meetings with the director prior to applying? I sat in group meeting sometime during the beginning of Spring semester. The smaller the amount of applicants, the quicker the letters come out. They quote us 6-8 weeks because there is only one person calculating all the scores/letters, and that's the director herself.

I'm currently on vacation in Arizona for another couple weeks. I'm sure if I were home, I would be stalking my mail carrier as well. I just read on here, keep up with friends, and pray when I get home I'll have a letter waiting for me :)

Best of luck to all applicants. I'm also happy to hear that the number of applicants is smaller this Fall than last. Keeps me from freaking out a bit. I applied with 202.56, so I'm feeling pretty confident about receiving a letter based on prior semester cut-offs.

So this is my first post although I have been reading a lot from these forums for months. This is my first time applying to the nursing program. I completed my AA last semester. I am applying with 222.6 which I would normally be happy with however.....I'm a Clay resident. :uhoh3:

I know there was a Clay County applicant from "Spring 2011 hopefuls" who didn't get in with 223. :crying2:

So, I am playing the waiting game now just counting down the days and soon will start stalking the mailman.:coollook:

I'm really just so thankful for this forum because it has informed me about so many things. It's also nice to know I am in the same boat with so many other people!!!

It's July 1st.....we will know this month!!!!

No the nursing program is all at north campus. That is the only place they have the classes.

Hi E:-)

222:-) you and Div are superstars! ;-)

I'm sorry that you have added stress because you're a clay county gal. Did you also try SJRSC?

Xo,

S

Honestly, I didn't try SJRCC this time but will if I don't get in. I really have my heart set on FSCJ due to all of the great things I've heard about the program. Just anxiously waiting for these next 2-4 weeks to go by. I hope we know sooner than later!

I know how you feel. I really had my heart set on UNF, but that fell through miserably. Now I would rather FSCJ over SJRSC, but I guess we will have to wait and see. At this point I just need to get started. I feel life I've wasted too much time already.

I applied to UNF for summer. Got the interview but didn't get past that. It bummed me out. However, I do believe that everything happens for a reason.

I was really concerned about all of the volunteer hours students have to complete at UNF. Life and school is stressful and time consuming enough without the added work. I know that community service is important and it helps getting hands on experience, but I was hearing things like 4-6 hours a week.....that's basically like taking another class!

Anyways, my wonderful fiance is overseas and the sooner I get a job as a nurse, the sooner he can come home! Right now he is the only bread winner. :heartbeat That is definitely a motivator to finish fast. I can always go back for my BSN online while I'm working.

So.....now that it's July, I guess we can start the countdown? Perhaps I should warn the mailman that in 2 weeks, I WILL start stalking him.

I can't really stalk my mail lady, she's a bit of an alchie. She might run me over LOL

Congrats on getting to the interview! :) I didn't even make it that far. We will make it to the big pond, eventually. ;)

S

She sits in her jeep at the corner or behind the neighborhood school sipping on a mini, she's cool though lol
