FSCJ/FCCJ Fall 2011 Hopefuls

Published

I know this is early, but I am sure there are Fall hopefuls out there for 2011.

Anyone out there yet, or am I just overly eager?

:lol2:

I was thinking about adding classes to my Fall schedule just in case too. I also want to see my aid finalized...you can't see numbers in the system unless you have classes scheduled (at least that is what I have noticed in the past for Connections)

FUTUREFLARN....As far as OOP expenses, it seems to range between 800-1000, depending on where you go...some people prefer high-end items also.

Just in case, you wanna do some window-shopping online, I found the code for FSCJ students on the Meridy's website where we can buy name tags, stethoscopes, etc...Meridy's Code: FSCJ7627

Thanks, for the info NJ!

I'm going to email the director to clarify. I'll keep you posted when I get an answer. It usually takes her a couple of days to respond.

A nerd was walking on campus one day when his friend, another nerd, rode up on an incredible shiny new bicycle. The first nerd was stunned and asked, "Where did you get such a nice bike?"

The second nerd replied, "Well, yesterday I was walking home minding my own business when a beautiful woman rode up to me on this bike. She threw the bike to the ground, took off all her clothes and said, 'Take what you want!'"

The second nerd nodded approvingly and said, "Good choice. The clothes probably wouldn't have fit."

6. Opportunity to expose yourself to rare, exotic, and exciting new diseases.

5. Interesting aromas.

4. Courteous and infallible doctors who always leave clear orders in perfectly clear handwriting.

Hope this lightens the mood. :)

The only reason I know is because I was accepted last semester and had to withdraw for personal reasons. If I were you I would register for other classes that you are able to take and then if you get accepted you will be able to drop them. the office that the school send you to for the drug test will do the physical and the titers. the whole thing will cost 228.00. That is the titers, physical, flu shot, ppd, and the different tetorifice shot (I can't remember what it is called). Anyways the results for everything will take you one week to receive, but you will have to go back and pick them up.

Per the Nursing Director: "We are still calculating points all applicants will receive a letter eight weeks from June 1, 2011." ..... So, it looks like we'll hear something by the end of July.

@ sugarbee -- that was very cute!! :-)

@ Dr Thomas -- good to know! Thanks! ;-)

Wow. :uhoh3:

I'm going to run out of cheap internet humor. ;)

Sad Panda,

sugarbee, I loved the jokes, keep 'em coming!

Dr84thomas, thanks for the info! $228 isn't so bad for the shots and physical. I think the money adds up when you buy shoes, steth's and uniforms.

I don't know about you guys but I will probably spend the most on my shoes. The steth is still up in the air. I may just buy whatever FSCJ has to offer. And as far as uniforms, I will be bargain hunting.

This is silly but How long are the shirts? Do they cover our rears? there are lots of reasons why I am asking (I am sure many of you can read b/w the lines) what are we supposed to do then? I used to wear scrubs but we could wear dark colors...FSCJ wants white! eek!

I guess we will have to figure in an extra $20 or so for white knickers. lol!! :D

Can you use your health insurance to cover the expenses of the physical and etc. at the place the school recommends? Or should you just go to your own physician? When I spoke to the director they told me July 27th would be the day letters would start arriving. Hopefully we all get in!

I really sincerely hope we do not have to wear white scrubs lol. My friend who was in the nursing program said there is a kit you can buy in the bookstore with everything you need including the stethoscope, I plan on just doing that and asking for a good one for a graduation gift :-)
