FSCJ/FCCJ Fall 2011 Hopefuls

Published

I know this is early, but I am sure there are Fall hopefuls out there for 2011.

Anyone out there yet, or am I just overly eager?

:lol2:

oh wow..1st, thanks for sharing. 2nd, my schedule will have to be rearranged too and I hope they go for it.

I figure if I could leave work by 4:30 at the latest from Southpoint, I should be able to get to class by 6 with plenty of time to spare. Only plus really is that I wouldn't have too far to travel home after class lol but Deerwood would have been a lot better work-wise. I know my boss will already hate me for the Saturday changes lol

Divinity, I have been considering moving a little closer to the North campus but then I think about clinicals and the hospital choices. Either way, we are going to be doing a whole lot of traveling. I was 'mapping' my routes and so far it seems like I will be spending at least an hour on the road everyday between home, school and work and that doesn't include delays for traffic!

Hey Ladies,

Just signed up for the forum, and was trying to back track on the posts a bit. I understand that around 500 applicants applied this semester but does anyone know how many are going to be accepted into the daytime and night time programs total?

Thanks!

Amy

I really hope we hear something back sooner than later. Does anyone else recalculate their scores a lot? I do, I keep going over and over everything. I did not know that you can get a discount at St. Vin's for the CPR Cert that is great to know!

Specializes in Answering phones and studying. ;-).
FYi...beginning Fall 2011, FSCJ will equalize the # of admissions into the RN program to 144 students per term instead of Fall-168, Spring-144, and Summer-96.

This post might help. I believe the N/W class is 24. There might be more around pages 8-11ish.

:-)

Divinity, what number did you call. I haven't heard back from the other place so I guess they don't need my $$

THANK YOU SOO MUCH FOR THIS POST. THIS HAS CERTAINLY CALMED ME DOWN (a little). I'm applying with roughly 202 pts (just under). I think letters should be here between the 13th-27th of July. 22 more days left and we can begin stalking USPS! I'm going to camp out by my mailbox; I swear!!! lol. :zzzzz

Thanks for this info!! I think we're all getting a little itchy to know one way or the other!! I leave for vacation on the 17th, so I'll have to have a family member stalk the mailbox:)

I called and spoke with the receptionist at FSCJ in the nursing dept. I wanted to know exactly how many people ended up applying for fall. I told her I knew it was around 405 on June 1st and she said she couldn't remember the exact amount but she was pretty sure it was under 500. I know the amount doesn't really matter, but for some reason the number being under 500 makes me feel a little better only because the most amount of people that's ever applied before was over 600 and the highest cutoff score ever was 201.24....I'm optimistic that if you have 200 points your chances are really really high!!!! I know this is crazy, but this is what's keeping me going guys...thinking of my chances and looking at past records....I'm going insane!!! :uhoh3:

sorry, so excited about your post - I replied to the wrong one!!

Thanks for this info...it's at least something, right.... I leave for vacation on the 17th, so I'll have to have my aunt who's watching our house stalk the mailman!! :) LOL Thanks again!
