FSCJ/FCCJ Fall 2011 Hopefuls

Published

I know this is early, but I am sure there are Fall hopefuls out there for 2011.

Anyone out there yet, or am I just overly eager?

:lol2:

I'm a Fall 2011 n/w hopeful as well. I was planning to be in the summer but I just found out they are not offering n/w. So Fall here I come. Will 203 get me in night/weekend spot? I could take the NAT again to boost my NAT score. Good luck to everyone!!!

hey njcheyla and fromjaxfl,

i will be applying for days. i'm currently taking micro and a&p2. hopefully i'll be taking the nat next week if i get a chance. it will be my first attempt at it.

I am taking microbiology this semester and I will be taking the NAT test this week . Any advice for the NAT test ? I took out several study books from the library and I feel like I cant study enough. I will be taking the online test and I dont know what to expect. I will have on more shot at it before the Fall 2011 application deadline.

Hi ccmom3 & rnlesha984,

I wish you the best of luck on the NAT. Do a search on NAT on AN and you should find lots of tips. The one thing I know about the NAT is that you have to be fast! lol One tip that sticks out in my mind is to know math shortcuts so that you can skip the long math and pick the most logical answer. I will be taking mine as soon as I finish AP2 and Chemistry this semester...so nervous! I hope to apply by June 1st and be accepted into N/W for Fall 2011.

The NAT test was more difficult than I expected.:crying2: I am going to buy the ARCO book that the school suggests and retake it in 3 months. The math portion was the most difficult ...... I am currently taking microbiology but gave it a shot and applied for the summer 2011 program just because I meet the deadline date and all my other prereq's are done. I know I will get the rejection letter in the mail. But I am looking forward to retaking the NAT test, finishing microbiology and applying for the Fall 2011. My best advice to anyone is to study the math and get quick with word problem type math questions -alot of percentage problems and fractions-. I hope this helps anyone out there getting ready to take the test soon.

194.68 seems like a decent score...if you are not accepted at first, you may get a call later if someone declines their seat. fingers crossed for u

I know my points were not enough for the summer program so I am a fall hopeful. I am currently taking microbiology so with those points and retaking the NAT test ..... I hope I get in.

thanks nj! im hoping! also i heard if i transfer to columbia college i could retake a class i got a c in get an A and up my points by 6! and im gonna take statictics in summer, hoping to make an A in it, and they count a high math, so that would be another 3 points, so id have 203.68 if all that worked out lol, but i hope i dont need to do all that and just get in!! :):lol2:

yes please dont forget that a lot of folks will decline their seats, especially when they find out there is no N/W program. So even If you dont get a letter that doesnt necessarily mean you wont get in

Does anyone know when the Summer Financial Aid info is updated in Connections? It just dawned on me that if I don't get in for Fall 2011, I will have to wait until Spring 2012...that seems so far awayyyyyyyyyyyyyy.
