I know this is early, but I am sure there are Fall hopefuls out there for 2011.
Anyone out there yet, or am I just overly eager?
Not as many as I would have liked! 194.42...I had two old classes from 1989 that I had C's in English and Psych (back when grades didn't matter to me:( no I'm paying for that.... Since they were C's I heard you can't retake them...so I lost 12 points right off the bat....everything else was awesome! Would have had a 206.42 Last fall, one of my friends got in with a 212 easy...and then another friend had a 198...she got accepted as well...hers was just delayed until others rejected offers I guess...
How about you?
Awww, thanks you too:) The only other issue is that I live in St. Johns county and I heard that lowers your chances even more...? If it's meant to be God will work it out, that's my feeling:) I really want it though...hopefull letters will come out sooner than expected!! You should be fine with a 202!! That's awesome!
I have an even funnier one....I got a letter from FSCJ and I thought, "Wow, I must have been at the bottom of the barrell to already get a rejection letter....then I opened it and it said we would like to congratulate you...then I read furhter and it was for the President's List for the quarter!!!" HELLO, rolling mixed emotions, lol! I had to laugh, that was cruel!
tdub,
The same thing happened to me. I had a moment at the mailbox, sure that I was rejected. Then a week or so latter I got my taxes in a huge envelope.
I think my mailperson is toying with me. ;-)
I will post the moment I hear something.
Xo,

@ TDub - Yes, you are correct, Duval and Nassau Counties take priority over St. Johns. But, just an FYI - I would retake those 2 classes at SJRC, then Xfer the credits to FSCJ. That way you can apply w/ 12 more points. Have you thought about SJRC as a plan B? I'm not trying to be 'Negative Nelly' over here, just lookin' out for ya! You nevveerrr know, 194 may be ok! If it was up to me, we'd all be accepted!! :redpinkhe 27 more days until we start receiving letters!!!!! Oh Em Gee!!!
Actually they don't look at GPA. It is the NAT and a points system based on your grades in certain classes like A&P and College Algebra. Its 4 pts for an A, 3 for a B, 2 for a C. Then you multiply these points by the number of credit hours the class is worth such as Micro is 4 credit hours and if you get an "A" it is worth 16 points. English I is 3 credit hours and if you get an "A" is worth 12 points.
The classes that count are A&P I and II, ENC I, Micro, College Algebra, a Humanties course of some kind, Growth and Developement, Psychology, and Sociology. Add all your points together and that is your points for grades. Add those to your NAT points and you have your total score. Hope that makes sense. I just woke up and my brain is still fuzzy.
Oh, and I think you get points for being a medic but not sure how that works exactly.
Yup - Will, you'll get 5 points for every year of medical service. They just upped it in Sept 2010 from 5 pts for experience to 5 pts for EVERY YEAR of experience. Good Luck!

Thanks for your reply.
5 points for every year would equal 85 points (19 years). Are you sure that is right? Good with me if it is, but that seems pretty high.
*Edit: I found the answer. It is 5 points for up to 4 years of experience. I will happily take 20 points.

20 points is definitely a nice boost to your score. Good luck.:)
