FSCJ Fall 2014 hopefuls

Hello everyone, I did not see a post for the fall 2014 semester, so I wanted to get it started. I applied to the 2014 summer semester and now I am waiting on my acceptance or denial letter. I am starting this forum just in case i do not get in for the summer. My total score right now is 169.96. I have 97 points for my classes and 72.96 points from the NAT. I am currently taking statistics and humanities, in hope of getting an A in both of them to boost my score up to 178.96. I made a C in A&P 1, my first humanities class and PSY1012. I also made a B in college algebra and that is what got my score down so low. I hope that the low cut off score trend continues to give me a good chance of getting in. The last 3 semesters were 175.96, 187 and 187. I am preparing to retake the NAT in late May to be in time for the June 1st deadline with plenty of time to study for the NAT. I look forward to meeting you all, and hear how things are going for you, so we can encourage and support one another.

Boo care spot doesnt take insurance for titers. So I have to wait till monday to call my primary care doctor

I'm new to the site (although I've been stalking it for a few months and have learned sooooo much about the program from you guys)

First, a huge congratulations to all of you who have been accepted!

I applied for fall, but I haven't heard anything yet. I applied without the points for microbiology and had a pretty low NAT score, so it's a long-shot that I get accepted this term. I had 170 points. Does anyone know if they send denial letters? if so, when do those usually go out?

Good Evening Everyone!

I am new to this site. A friend of mine told me about it and I figured I would go on here and register. It seems like there is some good information out there that would be helpful. Both of my friends received their acceptance packets yesterday and I was for sure I would get something today, but nothing! My score was a 190 and my friends were also in the 190 range. I have seen on here posts about stuff is due July 25 or something like that I may be wrong, but is anyone else in the same boat where they haven't received anything? My friend said they send them out in increments. I am worried :(

Hey!!! I just received my acceptance for Daytime! This was my second choice but Originally this would of worked but recently there is a hiring freeze at work and I wont be able to switch to part time and I cannot afford to quit my job altogether. I will be devastated if I have to deny the acceptance. Does anyone know if I can be on a waitlist to switch to nights/weekends or have any advice on what I should do? ANyone feel free to email me at [email protected]

I am in the same boat. Don't worry to much. I know it is really hard because I am obsessing over it. I am hoping by Monday we will have ours. I think the July 25th date is just for us to call in and accept our seat if we get in (which I am sure you will)

Okay! Woo. Awesome. Im texting my friends going crazy over here. lol Yea. She just told me that's when we need to call in. But yea if we don't get anything by Tuesday we should call. Im dying over here!!

Where are the clinical sites? Im also thinking about ditching the lab coat since it seems their not used.

To be honest it is a relief to know someone else is still waiting. I keep wondering if I put the wrong address or something. Fingers crossed we don't have to bother calling because they will come in for us Monday!

Omg I thought the same thing. I was like oh gosh I hope I put the right address because I thought it might have gotten lost or something. Plus I live in an apartment complex so I was like I hope nobody got it. lol but yea im glad to know there are others that are waiting too. I hope we get something on Monday!

Hey everyone!

I applied with 201 and got accepted for daytime!! I have been stalking this thread constantly since the deadline and I just wanted to clarify a couple things for people.

1. You have to leave a voice mail message by July 28th on whether you are accepting or declining your seat.

2. You have to turn in the confirmation page of the background check and the carbon copy of the drug test by July 25th.

3. The rest of the health information is due by August 8th and also flu shots won't be in till the middle or end of September so don't worry about that. In the packet it says they will let us know when that is due.

4. The rest of the materials we need (i.e. skills kit, stethoscope, bp cuff ect.) isn't needed till the first day of class (August 25th).

Also, I have a couple friends in the summer term and they said the quiz they give out in orientation was easy and ungraded. I think they said it was 25 questions and as long as you go over the study material they gave us then we will be fine.

There is so much to do already but as long as you are on top of it then nothing to worry about. I can't wait to meet everyone and start this amazing journey! It will be tough but we can get through it! Yay!!!
