Skills Kit, Stethoscope, and BP Cuff: What are you thoughts??? We need all of this for Day 1, Aug 29th, correct?

I've read posts that said we wont need it till clinicals, but I don't think I'm going to take that chance.

Pants -- Khaki's and Whites -- I confirmed w/ my friend in the RN Program ... we can DEF go anywhere to get these. For the whites, she reccomends the brand Koi.

Target has neutral undies on sale, too.... 6 for $20 ... The Gilligan and somethin' brand... they're cute! I stocked up.

SHOE QUESTION -- Per the check list, we can get anything white, leather, and that completely covers the foot. It didn't say anything about slip resistant soooo.... I think I may go with something cute, then. The K-Swiss Sneaks at DSW have my name on them.

Let me know if ya'll find nice fitting khakis for larger sizes, though. I need comfort, but not dorkiness! :jester:

You can go rogue on the pants (from the mouth of a recent graduate). And if you do, as I will do because I NEED drawstring, tiny waste big hips, I will be sure to get the kind with 2 pockets, as they suggest from meridy's. The tops are a must from meridy's as they will come with the patch.

And ditto on the khaki pants as well as wanting it all done yesterday! lol

Hey everyone!!! I had been reading the posts on the other board and finally joined today because I am in the nursing program for the fall!!!! Congratulations to everyone....I can't wait to meet you all!!!! I am so excited :lol2:

Does anyone know if we have to get our stethescope or bp cuff in a certain color or are we allowed to get something funky because I found one i really like but i'm not sure if i should get it?????

@FutureFL: Thanks for the tip on the undies at Target!! I'm all over that!

@Mindy: Yikes, I'm so "by the book" I am worried about any grey or black trim. I'm curious b/c I was looking at some New Balance, but they have the slightest grey trim. Does anyone else know how hard core they are about that???
