I figured I would go ahead and start a new thread. Maybe we can help each other get through these next couple months of scrambling around.

For now....let's just celebrate!!!!:yeah::up:

to all looking for shoes...

there is a uniform store on beach/university in the Kmart shopping center...they had 3 different kinds of nursing shoes, including 1 or 2 styles of nursemates. It's an outlet store so the selection of sizes is all over the place...they didn't have my size, however they did have several sizes in wide, I saw a few people were looking for wide. Just FYI:)

Walmart has khaki and white scrubs!!!! However..... they run HUGE!!! Try them on regardless, so you'll know how they fit. I am 5'3 1/2 and weigh 125. I tried on a SMALL/PETITE and was swimming in them. The length was so, so. I have to hem all of my pants, so I'm used to it. I swear by stich-witchery!

Hey there:) Did you ever find anyone that had flu vaccines? I didn't get a flu shot last year and need one too!

Also, to all...I stopped at the stat-line company and bought my skills kit because I was out that way and the lady, Patsy is super sweet and helpful. She went thru the whole bag and explained some extra stuff. Just incase anyone wants to go out there, it was worth the stop:)

Also stopped and got my two polo shirts - they are thin polos, good news is they are some what of a lady cut, not those big bulky polo shirts.

Thanks to everyone posting on where they are finding their stuff at. I'm going to head out to Florida Specialty tomorrow because I don't want to buy the wrong size polos. I have already bought 2 pair of white scrub pants. One pair of Dickies and the other KOI. I love the KOI ones. They are comfortable and I think they are very cute. They cost a little more than the other ones (29.99 at life uniform) but I think they are going to last a long time. I also tried on some Grey Anatomy one's that were super comfy and soft. I may have to go back for them later since they too were 29.99 and I didn't want to shell that out today. I decided on sneakers for my shoes. I bought some completely white sketcher work shoes from zappos. If they don't fit at least I know I can return them for free.

Also, I noticed that the scrub tops from Meridy's seem to run huge. When I clicked on the "what's my size" button, it asks for your bust size. FYI: a 34 is an xxs. I just find it a little weird because I can tell you that my friend who is a 34 DD CANNOT where my tops! So this should be interesting how these are going to fit us all. I just imagine some people are going to look ALOT better in their scrubs than others depending on the cut of these.:lol2:

Oh well....We will still rock it!!!:rckn:

Let us know how the Polo fits! I JUST ordered mine online. I should have just gone there tomorrow... There was a $9.95 shipping fee! I ordered a Small.

Yup, like I said, I tried the Walmart scrubs on and I was swimming in them (I tried a Small). I'm going to order XS bottoms and I guess I'm going to go with the XXS uniform top -- geeze that sounds so wierd to say!

Does anyone else think we should change the name of the facebook page to FSCJ Nursing Class Fall 2012.....or something like that but shorter? Just thought we should specify the class or something so other students aren't joining thinking it's for all FSCJ nursing students.

What polo did u order. I don't know if I'm missing something but all my paper says is blue polo but I would assume it is a specific blue polo. Thanks for your help. Also there are "reebok princess" shoes that are all white and leather at famous footwear right now on sale for 34.99 they come in wide too!! I'm going to try them on later today.

The polos are from Florida Specialty. They have our Nursing Student logos on them. My paper had directions but I don't have it handy. You can also order them online I believe.

Awesome...although, I did find out from walgreens that they will have the new flu vaccines in August and we have until August 29th...so, if that's true, I think I'll wait for that one...don't want to take them so close together... we'll need the new one...
