I figured I would go ahead and start a new thread. Maybe we can help each other get through these next couple months of scrambling around.
For now....let's just celebrate!!!!

Ok so I had a minor freak out today...I am going on vacation July 16th thru 24th, so I am trying to get everything done. I still do not have my CPR cert, and I scheduled thru Liberty Ambulance for this Saturday, the lady calls me at 4pm today to tell me the class was cancelled, I seriously almost threw my phone thru the window! But thankfully the American Heart Association class with Herman Meeks is every Saturday for $50, I just wanted to pass this information on. Now I am going to try to calm down, I nearly had a temper tantrum!

@embalk - I don't know how many sections your term will be. We had a 8 sections for 96 students days only. But the way it works is every Monday will always be a test day. Tues - fri will be class day. Depending on which section you have it could be tues, wed, thur or wed, thur, fri. One of the days will be your long day 9-4 the others will be from 8-1 and 9-12. Plenty of time to study and work. I work in a hospital setting as well as an ACP. Sorry can't help much for those at night.
Whoever asked about the cargo khakis that would be no you can't wear them.

HAHAHA!! Looks like I will be seeing you there. That is, if you are going tomorrow. I am happy to just get it over with!!
About the stethoscope....
Personally I am going to get the best that I can afford. I would hate to spend $30 on one and then use someone else's in class one day and be amazed at the difference. I have read many good things on the Littman brand. Even if I don't go with the Cardio one, I may go for the SE which is about $80.

I'm in the same boat as you. I've been leaning more toward the Littmann Classic II S.E, but I'm really unsure.
Got these today. HOpe the grey doesn't get me in trouble. It's hardly noticeable:
@NJ:
I have wide feet too! I tried on sooooo many shoes and insoles today! The New Balance walking shoes I tried on yesterday were somewhat comfortable, but reallllly not cute! Not even close! Although they are online for around $50. They are a New Balance WW811 or 812.
The ones I found today at JC Penney blow those NB out of the water!!!!! I think I got them for about $60. My dad said to splurge the most on shoes. I was about to order these $100 Professional Timberland nursing shoes from Zappos until it dawned on me....when I am in school, I will only be in a clinical a couple/few times a week. When I get out in the real world (J-O-B) I will (hopefully) have a little more choice than "white, leather, non-fabric" in which case I will splurge on the best type, but also the best (cute) style for me! So for now, I'm sticking with these Easy Spirits. I have to go get the wide at another location tomorrow, but b/c I bought these today, she hooked me up with a 15% off coupon!
Also, for what it's worth, the shoe lady at Penney's thought they were ok, even w/ the slight grey line. I said I didn't know if they were hard-core about it, and she said she didn't think FSCJ was, but that at Mayo they are strict! LOL
In case anyone doesn't know, Zappos.com has free shipping and free returns. They have EXCELLENT ratings/reviews on most shoes.
I called Solantic today, too. I will most likely be going there, after the 11th. I will call the Health Dept to get some prices, too. I'll post them shortly.Something to consider -- WHO HAS FLU VACCINES??? EVERYONE is out and they wont be restocking until Sept!!
To kill 2 Birds w/ one stone -- when you go for finger printing at The UPS Store, you may be able to get your picture taken at the same time. I believe they do passport photos. You can also make a copy of your FLDL.
And yes.... this all a still feels like a dream. Soooo proud of US!!!
Hey there:) Did you ever find anyone that had flu vaccines? I didn't get a flu shot last year and need one too!
Also, to all...I stopped at the stat-line company and bought my skills kit because I was out that way and the lady, Patsy is super sweet and helpful. She went thru the whole bag and explained some extra stuff. Just incase anyone wants to go out there, it was worth the stop:)
Also stopped and got my two polo shirts - they are thin polos, good news is they are some what of a lady cut, not those big bulky polo shirts.
@Relax123 thanks for all your info....my sis-in-law said the same types of things:) any support is helpful!
