I feel like I've gotten to the front of the line at the roller coaster. Just waiting for the previous riders to leave. And for the staff to clean up the vomit.
Tomorrow is the first day we can buy textbooks with student aid funds at my school. I plan to be there bright and early (mostly for personal logistics reasons). Fortunately our nursing department was nice enough to put up a provisional syllabus on the department website, so we're already able to see what our readings are, etc.
I like being on op of things, getting ahead in my assignments, etc. It usually doesn't last, and I imagine there will be at least a few of my classmates more organized and determined than I, but I'm still excited to get this journey started.

In my situation, if I use the student bookstore I get to use OPM (other people's money). My scholarship funds were just enough to cover tuition and books this semester, so I can't complain about that.
Brought home the books this morning and set them on the scale. Forty two pounds. I got a little winded hauling them up to my car from the store, and I'm in fairly decent shape. Already doing some of the reading for the first week now.
