Friggin Bon!?!?!?!

AAARRGGGG. i hate dealing with the BON. I'm licensed in Colorado, but didn't get my renewal papers til late cuz we had moved. Ok fine, so i sent the renewal form in, the mandatory questionairre and the check for the fee ($117). Sent it return receipt since it was late. WELL they updated my addy on the website, cashed my check, but show my license as lapsed??? So i call, and they tell me they misplaced or i didn't send in the mandatory questionairre. SSSOOOOO now after 6 weeks of waiting, i have to REFILL out a stupid job questionairre, and refax it to them. THEN they'll renew my license. No apologies, nothing. Just like "oopsie". I'm glad i called instead of waiting around, cuz i can't get licensed here until my license is renewed THERE. AAAAARRRRGGGGGGG. Funny how they didn't mind taking my money tho huh? :rolleyes:

Similiar thing happened to me last year, though a different state.

The BON cashed my check alright, but lost the application.

Right before it was due to expire I was making many long distance phone calls, and sending emails which were never answered.

Had to go to the bank, get a copy of my canceled check which I mailed and faxed to them on a Friday afternoon. Monday morning I'm calling them again, they lost the fax of the canceled check, had to fax it again, then someone finally called me and said the license was in the mail. I did get it right before it expired. I had mailed it in 3 months before.

Because they lost it last year, my hours for last year weren't added in, and therefore this year I didn't have enough hours to renew according to this years application. So I had to make more long distance calls (all at my expense of course) to get it straightened out so that I could renew this year.

You're right, they sure don't mind taking the money!

oh sheesh. its SO stupid. I mean could they MAKE it any harder if they tried? DOUBTFUL. And it doesn't have to be that freakin' hard! But of course, they cash your check or charge your CC RIGHT AWAY........and to get a LIVE person on the phone to speak with after listening to 10 minutes worth of voice tree options is like an act of Congress!

I'm scared to go try to change my driver's license. who KNOWS what kind of PIA that will be. UGH.

Lol...OMG- the same thing happened to me several years ago when I moved from Indiana to Kentucky. Not only did they do exactly what was done to you- they then made me do KY CEU's (which I wouldn't have had to do that year except for my license "lapsing"). I just went ahead and did them instead of arguing over it- I had already been through the ringer with them. Hopefully this will only happen once in your lifetime. From now on, I do it online- much easier and less red tape. :kiss

HOPEFULLY next renewal i can do online! lol oh well, at least its going to be easy to resolve. HOPEFULLY. and at least i don't have to do CEU's (mandatory ones anyway) lol :chuckle
