Hi Tweety

Stars I don't think I've ever made biscuits, except from a mix

Dianah glad you're feeling better

NJ22 a cooking class sounds  interesting

Did get a new case yesterday,  but had time to get everything done on that before I left.  Overall a good day

After work met my church friend Denise for dinner, went to a local place.  Had a very good time and were there quite a long time

The car is still in Indiana, I suspect it won't arrive until at least Sunday.  Which in some ways might help as I have stuff going on on Saturday

Today going to try and head out early to do some hiking, then will catch the train downtown to the Christmas market.

Thankfully the weather is better than expected, will be in the 50s instead of the 40s, and no rain

Good morning!

Joe, hope you have a good day off.

Heading home later.   Will visit my family fir a couple of hours and make the drive to the airport about 90 minutes away and have lunch.

My sister texted me at 5:30 AM to check my car for her headsets.  I should have ignored her, but because I didn't think I would sleep, I got dressed and went out in the cold morning and indeed I had it.  She said she hoped she didn't wake me.  I was able to get back to sleep.  She's always talking about her daughter's narcissistic behavior.  Wonder where she got that from?

Have a great day.

G'mornin'~

Wish I could go back to bed; I know for sure I could fall asleep again, but it is kinda late to indulge myself.

I may have said this already, but I have to go downtown to scope out the courthouse and the parking situation. It is supposed to be raining like crazy on Tuesday when we are supposed to go to the guardianship hearing, and I'm not sure if there is a way to get Nannie into the courthouse without getting soaked. (It's always something!)

My head is still fuzzy with grogginess, so I will come back by here later on when I am more awake.

good afternoon. I enjoyed the class last night, but it was really long, 2 1/2 hours. The teacher is a judge from The Great Canadian Baking Show, sort of a take-off of the Great British Bake-off. He baked 3 italian treats (2 cookies and a roll). I liked 2 of them. And I bought his cookbook.

Today is clear and cool, again. The rain is supposed to come in tonight. I got up early to make sure the grand boys got some breakfast, and then drove them to school. I took the dogs on a long walk. dh has actually been cleaning out the garage, so I am going to help with that. I am so relieved that he is letting go of some stuff. Another roofer is coming soon to give an estimate. I have the sinking feeling this is going to carry on until Spring. We may go to a movie tonight. I'd like to see The Holdovers.

SiL said she can borrow a wheelchair for Nannie, and we will all go together in the same car (theirs!) to the Courthouse on Tuesday. That's a big load off my mind!

I am screaming bored even though there are MANY things I could do to occupy myself. I did put the clean dishes away, but there is another load to wash from last night's supper. I did have to do a small laundry again. Nannie got herself up, made the bed and dressed, then lay back down on the bed. She "forgot" to put on pull-ups, and there were no pads in her pants. The soaked underpad transferred all the pee up through the sheets and blankets, and she contributed through her pants, from the topside when she lay back down on the bed. The well-used pull-up and pads she had on were deposited on a shelf where she has extra socks and pj bottoms. It's not exactly like an Easter Egg Hunt, but I do have to search around for where she leaves the wet stuff; it is different every time; the pads can be one place and the pull-ups in another spot somewhere else. There are TWO wastebaskets in her room and one in the bathroom beside the commode. One might hope or expect her to use one of those in which to toss out her discarded incontinence items, but I guess that portion of her brain is blotted out and/or completely empty.

Momo is growling at the birds that land on the patio full of dried leaves; they flutter, the leaves flutter. Whatcha gonna do? I tell her it is alright and to hush. Nannie has started some weird, long conversation in her sleep. Part of it must have been funny, because she was smiling at one point. You know it's gotta be dull here if I am watching Nannie sleep.

It is 71 degrees and cloudy, but no rain predicted for today. The thermostat is set on 72 and heat, but it is always chillier here in the den. My fingers are COLD! That may  impel me to go up to the kitchen and wash the dishes ...the hot water will warm up my hands, anyway, and at least it will accomplish one thing from my To-Do List.

Blah.

It snowed another 6 inches or so of powder.  It's cloudy and in the 20s.

The wife is having some diagnostic tests this afternoon. She's not talking much but I know that she is worried that she has another cancer. She'll get results on Wednesday.   Our 7 year old grandson is coming out tonight and will spend the weekend.

We have no plans for Thanksgiving.

From me too!

And, we have no Thanksgiving plans either.  I usually don't cook, we will go out to a restaurant.  I have asked dh, and haven't yet received an opinion.

It was a nice fall day.  I got some things at the grocery store, plus some supplies to make a soup.  Will probably do that tomorrow.

Have a good evening!

After the mammogram, the tech consulted the radiologist who ordered an ultrasound and then came into the room and scanned more himself. He looked so damned young My wife's first cancer was diagnosed with exactly that sequence of events.  Today, the result was benign.

She wept with relief.  I wept with relief.  Getting old is scary and humbling. The young doctor was very kind and reassuring.

Thank you all for your kind words and well wishes.  They matter.

Hugs to you, TMB and your wife (notenoughbaloney, if I remember correctly).

7 year old boys are so much fun. Great senses of humor and little sponges for knowledge.
