Fresno State Nursing (BSN) Fall 2018

Hey everyone!

I didn't see any forums for Fresno State Fall 2018 and so I decided to create one myself.

I applied for Fresno State's program as a transfer for the upcoming fall semester.

Here are my stats:

Prereqs: All A's except one B (chem)

TEAS: 82%

Volunteer hours and some scribing hours

Anyone else applied and know when they will be getting back to us? Has anyone heard about last year's admissions? Thanks in advance!

replying to PM... they will tell us after the 25th i think the wait can go on until august! i believe.

Oh okay! I was confused then. I had called the nursing admissions and I thought they had said we would hear on the 25th. Because the other students had until that date to accept or deny their admittance. I could have interpreted different though, all this stress LOL

thats probably true too haha. The email said we would hear after the 25th i guess it could mean either or. ugh. I dont know this whole thing is giving me a stomach ache. I have been crying on and off and eating enormous amounts of candy since i got my alt list email. I hope theres 15 people that choose another school and all of us get in :happy:

I still haven't gotten my email for Fresno so I'm very nervous! But I know how you feel being on the waitlist. I was on the alternative list for another University however I knew the exact alternative number I was there.

LOL I have been doing the exact same thing. My morning was so great and then BAM (email) and then my stomach dropped and I've been looking up alternate stories on google since 11!

yes im obsessed and googling and eating and crying and saying "what ifs" but theres nothing we can do... this is the only school i applied to. so its this or wait for spring. did any of you apply anywhere else?

@NancyJay same! I only applied here because I thought my chances were amazing, because that's what other people have told me... I can't apply in spring since fall 2018 will be my first semester at state... I'm going to have to wait until next fall or spring cycle and I don't have a back up plan

I applied to FCC and was fortunate enough to get in for the fall, but my heart was set on FS... i'm grateful but bummed none the less :(

yes people underestimate how competitive CA is, me included. Have you done your upper level courses? maybe work on a minor? if i dont get in this semester im going to be working on a nutrition or sports coaching minor (kinesiology)

Maybe they're saving the acceptance emails for later, maybe not getting an email yet is a good sign. what was your GPA? have you gotten any interview emails or written exam emails? i never got one and was put on the list.
