Fresno State (Fall 2020)

Hello, good luck to everyone.

Hi everyone, I received 2 acceptance emails on March 18, the first was to the university and the second one was for the nursing major. However, I will be declining my spot because I already accepted an admission offer from my local CSU. In case you were wondering my stats are 3.97 (both GPAs) and 88 TEAS score.

Ya I agree it’s kind of stupid that they only have 60 spots available every semester. It should be like 150. It’s waaaay to competitive and doesn’t give enough deserving people a chance. Yes it was my first choice as I’m a Fresno native and a student there. They won’t tell you the details of their selection process, so I wouldn’t bother. It sucks.

Hello, would you mind sharing your stats. I applied to the program with a 3.84 GPA for both cumulative and pre-req, and an 82 on the TEAS. I knew that Fall admissions are usually a lot more competitive so I tried not to get my hopes up, but I was still taken aback when they sent my rejection letter. On top of that, they sent the letters 2 months early compared to the previous years.

I have an 3.89 prerequisite GPA, I got a 89 on the TEAS, and I have a 3.68 cum GPA. They are extremely competitive, it looks like the lowest accepted were in the 3.9 range this cycle.

CONGRATS again to any that got in!

I just had a question for people on the alternate list, I was just wondering if anybody has heard anything from the college? I think yesterday was the first day to accept/decline and I think that the next time it is on the 3rd, correct me if I am wrong. I was just curious as I saw that the last fall application cycle, the day after the first day to decline/accept alternates had been receiving news. Thanks in advance.

Hi, Itisme123

I think Fresno State allowed to respond to accept/decline from March 15. For nursing department sent acceptance email march 18 and need to send back signed accept offer response by April 3rd which is tomorrow.
I understand that waiting is difficult. Waait a few more days.
I hope you hear good news soon and see you this fall.

I talked to the College of Health and Human Services Advising Center, and they basically said if any of the 60 students accepted declined admission or forgot to accept by tonight, then they move on to the alternate list and start going down notifying more students on Monday, April 6th for acceptance. But the thing is we alternates have to basically be waiting the whole Summer up until the first day of school because some students drop out over the Summer, which opens up more spots. So the board goes back to the alternate list again and chooses more people to fill those spots.

Hi all!

I just saw this thread! I am so happy for those that got accepted! I will be seeing you in the cohort. I was wondering if anyone has received an email regarding the registration process? I am trying to "verify" the classes and it seems that they have not officially listed me as a Nursing major and some of the classes listed on the roadmap (albeit it is an outdated one and the site says they are working on an updated one) are not showing up on the class search.

I received email that they confirmed that they received my signed acceptance.
And there was online preview day email.
I think that was all.
