I just got an email today saying I was put on the alternate list...does anyone know when they make decisions for alternate people? Congratulations to all accepted by the way. Hope to be there with you all next Fall

I don't know for sure but would assume once people start sending back their 'letter of acceptance' saying they decline the offer, or they never send the letter back, by April 3, the administration will begin notifying the people on the waitlist. I would think they wouldn't wait too long past the beginning of April.

CONGRATS to the individuals who got in.

People on the alternate list, has anyone tried to contact the school through the email or phone number provided on the email informing you of your status to see what number on the waitlist you maybe. I am on the alternate list, and I was thinking about contacting them just to ask if they could give me the number I was on the alternate list. Also, if you don't mind listing your stats.

My stats:

Overall GPA - 3.8 (Not originally a nursing major I was a bio major before)

8 classes/Nursing GPA - 4.0

TEAS Score - 86.7

I talked to them after I got ahold of the office. They said it's basically the waiting game for us Alternates. They cannot tell us what number we are on the alternate list since it's confidential. If all 60 accepted applicants accept, then we are out of luck and have to try and apply again for Spring 2021 this July. If some decline, then they move to the alternate list to choose from. Although, there could be chances that some accepted students back out even after accepting, which opens spots again and they go back to the alternate list to choose more people. It really sucks as we are left in limbo until August pretty much...

Thanks for that, was Fresno State your first choice? It was mine and so it is very disappointing that I was placed on the alternate list, I was considering calling and asking what got me placed on the alternate list I thought I had decent stats. Also, not to be explicit but that is really *** of them to say we are out of luck, as many of us have worked hard. I hope they can improve on that and I wish you the best of luck.
