  1. I read in the newspaper (LA Times) that nursing clinical labs would be exempt from the CSU closure. But, I have not heard anything specifically about Fresno State. I am wondering that too!
  2. Hello future nurses as well. I woke up to the best e-mail of my life this morning. Accepted to Channel Islands. I was also accepted to Moorpark and Fresno State but am 99% sure I will be going here.
  3. Hi All, I think interviews are over. How are people feeling about it? Seemed to go OK for me. Time really flew by. I did not know there would be four other candidates interviewed at the same time. I guess we will find out next week???!???
  4. Congratulations @Itisme123!!
  5. Hello all, For those invited to the interview, anyone have pointers on how to prepare for it? I am not very quick to think of things to say, typically don't have a good response formulated until the interview is over! It seems that doing some mock zoom interviews with friends is a good way to make use of the shelter in place time. Any other tips and advice are certainly welcome. This site seems to give a lot of good advice: https://interviewsteps.com/blogs/news/43574212-how-to-prepare-for-the-nursing-school-interview Hope that help and hope everyone is doing OK and staying clear of the Corona virus.
  6. I just got my letter of acceptance too! GPA 4.0 TEAS 85.3% 200 hours of volunteer time Congratulations everyone. Soooo relieved and excited!
  7. Congratulations to all! I got my e-mail for an interview too. Excited and nervous! Now the guessing game on interview questions...
  8. I think they will have to switch to online interviews or drop them as the campus is now directed to go completely online for the remainder of the semester. They are not even allowing clubs to meet. I am taking all general ed classes this semester so do not have any labs. Feel sorry for those in labs. Wonder what the current nursing students are going to be able to do with their clinical rotations?
  9. This may be a stupid question, but what site do you check? I occasionally check the status page on the NursingCAS page but it does not give much information other than the application has been received. Are you checking cal state apply?
  10. Uhhggg, April? I hope we hear something about interviews before end of March
  11. WOW!, CONGRATS. I think that means this year was more competitive than in the past.
  12. I think that they randomly pick a few applicants and accept those. Maybe those who have been notified are the lottery winners?
  13. @Guest123456789, hang in there. They may be waiting to form their alternate list until after March 16.
  14. Congrats @kaylanurse I went in today to pick up my acceptance letter and a roadmap to complete before the semester starts in August. There are a couple of milestones coming up that may lead to more calls. March 16 is the last day to sign an intent to enroll. If someone misses that then they are dropped. March 30 is a new student tea and required. If someone misses that then they are dropped. There is a bunch of stuff that has to be performed by May 4 so that could be another time when spots open up. So hang in there!!
  15. Hope you all get that call too. I should note that I was in class while they called but they left a message. SO even if you do not pick up, no worries, they will leave a message to call them back.
