Starting a thread for applicants in 2021 year.

To be honest staying with family in Tennessee and knowing if I don’t get in I need to relocate to OC, where a studio is like $1700+. Unless I could stay here in Nashville (where the cost of living is similar to Fresno and nurses start at $25), Fresno is the best option, and it’s really not that terrible, my coworkers talk about how terrible Fresno is (many of them are not even from California originally), it’s not hip or cool, but good cost of living for California and a 3 hour drive from both NorCal and SoCal, also the food is amazing. I’m missing the food. Also would rather take heat over humidity, tornado warnings, being snowed in (granted that was a rare occurrence here), revolving your life around impending rain, etc. Tennessee is lovely but the weather is just horrible. 

Oh wow I'm amazed people in Tennessee are trash talking Fresno like that. If we can't be famous let's be infamous LOL

No, my job is based in Southern California, it’s a large company where a majority of their employee base is not originally from California, yet they trash talk the Central Valley. Tennesseans do trash talk about Californians though due to how many are flocking to Tennessee.

How old are you? I’m assuming you’re very young and have a lot of time to get it ? Also, don’t forget to add your name to LVN waitlists at madera community college.

For those of you who participated in the prior years in the lottery did they update the results on Monday or are we on for a long wait into Thursday... or  Sunday for results?

Latest would be Friday the 23rd, they won’t go into the weekend.

Usually posted by Friday evening, last year the results were posted Thursday evening.

OMG! any place is better than Chowchilla! there's nothing there! when you live in Chowchilla, all the other towns seem more interesting! And you're from Clovis?? hate to write this, but you downgraded when you moved to Chowchilla.. seriously.  It literally smells like cow *** all day long..I live in Fresno, and I'm bored as heck! I'm originally from the Bay Area.. I hope I get into a nursing program here, get it done, and I'm outta here!

I can relate to a toxic ex.  I had one as well.

Clovis is the “nicer” city nested into Fresno. Definitely not a downgrade from Chowchilla. There was some good hole in the walls in Chowchilla though, but here I am thinking about food again. 

Also technically lived a majority of my life in Sanger... yuck. Getting my license was so fulfilling to be able to go to Fresno as well as when they finished the 180 extension.

Noooo... Clovis is beautiful, very posh neighborhoods, and def. better than Fresno.  I would love to move to Clovis, but it's too far of a drive to work.  My co-worker drives almost an hour from Clovis to work.. my commute is 30 minutes.   And you rarely hear of any crimes in Clovis! I love that! in Fresno, its like daily!! I hate it.
