French Board of Nursing

The French board of nursing (O.N.I. = Ordre National Infirmier, in French) is born in april 2008.

First elections appoint departemental* consultans.

Regional** consultants will be elected in jully by departemental consultants.

National consultants will be elected in november by regional consultants.

It is a recognition for our profession in France and we hope that will be the bigining of a true change.

* departement = like a county

** region = several departements

What it means is the French are making changes to the nurses and hopefully giveing more recognition. Nothing to do in being in the US or another country. Fred was just letting international member know there was changes afoot
