I don't have a CNA certificate and I've never been in a cna course. I was wondering if I can go ahead and take the cna exam without taking the course. Will they let me do that?

I can't get into the link for the CNA videos, it just comes up in firefox, failed to connect. Is it still available to watch? I would Love to see it if it's possible

Thanks so much for posting the link! I'm on the waiting list at my local cc to get my CNA 1 cert; I have not been able to find any training programs in my area. Hopefully these videos will help me get ready for whatever the program entails! If anyone has any advice, please pm me...I'm lost as far as what I need to do with prereqs. The people at cvcc have not been very helpful at all! :banghead:

Hey man, depending on your state, or for you the DC, but here in IL that is a definate no. They have to have record of your accredited education and training with approved clinicals before testing for your Dept of public health liscensure.

hi there, am foreign educated nurse and am in PA. if u hav nursing education outside u can apply to the department of education,they wil provide temporary permit and later u can apply to redcross and can take the exam,without going through a cna course
