Thanks!!
I have called pretty much everywhere trying to find free CNA training!! What times were the classes and clinicals? I filled out an application on their website yesterday and also called Golden Living for info on their training program, but haven't gotten anywhere yet. How did you get into their training program? Did you call or fill out the app on the site?
You have to go to Miller's and they have a computer in their lobby, I believe they had a cna class or I think you apply as a BNA, Real simple application, then not even a week later they called for an interview, now they can only accept two people from each miller's in indiana. I didn't get chosen the first time or my sister then, the next class they called both of us. I did have to pay for my phsyical is was like 45.00 also you get check for TB which is a little shot in the arm they have to do this twice, and the class is held at Castleton Miller's Merry Manor. Class is Monday - Friday 8-5 the first week, and the clinicals were 6-2:30 the second and third week, at the nursing home you applyed at. They also told us about job openings at the end, so I applyed and even got a job out it. This is a farely new program and I learned alot, we only had 12 people in the classroom, We had a 90% pass rate on the state test.
Well congrats and thank you very much for the info! I'm currently going to MedTech right now and in my 3rd quarter of the RN program but I'd like to start working now if possible! Again, thanks a lot for sharing that info!!
How is Med Tech I'm seriously looking there, I have heard they have had problems about accreditation. Have you heard anything.
No I haven't heard anything about problems, just that they were trying to get the NLN for the ASN program (they just got it for the LPN). Harrison just got it last week for their ASN program, so we should be getting it soon...I think Med Tech had applied for it a few months after Harrison. The NLNAC was at our school a couple weeks ago.
I've got 15 months left so I'm thinking they'll have it by then. Other than that I like the school, I haven't had any complaints so far.

Can I ask what the pay range is for a CNA at Millers? I'd really like to get into it, but if it would mean taking a pay cut from where I am at now, its not worth it.
Days make 9.00 an hour and nights make 9.75 but after I was certified it was 10.25, but then you get performance raises
