you already know I'm in. I don't have any links but today I went to the library and picked the complete idiots guide to chem and the cartoon guide to chem for starting points.

I have my books for class already....was told to read the first couple of chapters to prepare and I also got the study guide from the book store for dummies.....lol....My Prof wrote the books we will be using in class....scary....I was told he is a very smart man but has a dry sense of humor or stagnant personality.

:banghead: I'm in and terrified. Chem and I dont mix. I still have nightmares of my highschool chemisty class! I need all the help I can get. I am definately looking in to getting the 'idiots guide to chemistry' book! Thanks msdeannah!

There are also reviews on significant figures, scientific notation, etc. You can find them by scrolling down to the bottom of that page. If your math is a bit rusty, get started on these NOW! :)

Just a note about Mr. Guch's worksheets mentioned above. There are MANY mistakes in them. So if you get a problem wrong and don't know why, make sure you come here and see if HE had the problem right! :)

An AWESOME site is chemreview.net. Holy moley, I love that site! It's good for both Chem I and Chem II, from the basics on up. Here's the link:

Thanks so much for the sites! Does anyone know of any sites that are for organic chemistry or bio-chemistry? I'm taking a health career combo class this fall. I've been looking at my textbook and I'm already so confused lol. Any help would be really appreciated! :heartbeat

The book I've been using along with the class chem book this summer is CliffsStudySolver Chemistry. It's a big thick workbook with lots of questions to work on to really "get the stuff down". I've found it immensely helpful and I would be having a lot of trouble without it probably.

The chemreview.net is essentially an 800+ page book with lots of problems and very clear explanations that you can download (in pieces) for free.

Dallett I also have Cliff's Study Solver.....I have been looking things over.....I have my books for both Chem & Chem Lab....was told by the Prof to read the first few chapters of it and for the Lab book, to practice up on the exponets and basic Algebra.....It's a Mat Lab class....not favorite subject.
