  1. That doesn't surprise me, and falls right in with everyone having to wait until NOVEMBER for the financial aid we should have received in August. It really worries me that no one down there can get their heads out of their butts. (I'm not talking about student workers, more on an executive level)
  2. Hey all, I know we were previously talking about where to buy skeletons and such. I found a website that sells anatomical models at pretty good prices - it's www.anatomical.com . I know it's no $20 Big Lots skeleton, but I tried!
  3. I just got home from my first mini-practical in lab... it was over the skull. 25 questions, and I only missed two! 92% - woohoo! That really makes me feel more comfortable with taking the extensive bone practical in two weeks. I found another site that really helped me study the skull - here is the link: http://www.gwc.maricopa.edu/class/bio201/skull/antskul.htm
  4. First week of chem and lab down... and I'm feelin pretty good about it overall. My chem teacher is a very no-nonsense kind of guy. On the first day he came in, wrote his name on the board and handed out notes to start teaching chp 1. I was surprised because all of my other teachers had the little "get to know me" thing in the beginning of class. We're covering conversions and sig figs and such... so far I'm keeping up!
  5. As far as memorizing the body systems - I made a mnemonic to help myself. C (see) REMINDERS - which breaks down to: C.irculatory R.espiratory E.ndocrine M.uscular I.ntegumentary N.ervous D.igestive E.xcretory R.eproductive S.keletal
  6. Thanks for the helpful sites! I'm getting in on this thread as well as A&P
  7. Count me in as well - I'm a little nervous that this workload combined with Math 120 and Chem 130 will do me in
  8. I was reviewing my options to expedite getting my RN (I will have my prereqs finished in December). I noticed JCL's website says something about helping nurses get their RN by working in conjuction with PVCC. The website is very vague, and I was hoping that someone here is acquainted with the program and can give me a little info. Thanks in advance!
  9. I just checked the BNFP website and it looks like they are now requiring BIO 202&205 to be completed before you apply (as a previous poster stated). It is a new addition to the requirements and is in red font, so I'm pretty positive it wasn't there before. I'm so disappointed... I have to take those two in the Spring because I'm taking 201 this fall, which means I can't apply for the July cohort. I wish they would take into consideration that those courses will be finished by the start date, instead of only going by the application date (which is a month before the end of the semester).
