Hello all. Are there any major changes between the Saunders 3rd edition and the 4th edition? I currently have the 3rd edition. I'm pretty sure I will be sitting for a 4th time and I want to try a different route in my preparations. Kaplan obviously is not working for me and I have to go a different route. I haven't received my final results yet but I'd just like to prepare for the worst just in case. Thank you in advance.

Socal, pop for the lastest edition and do Suzanne's Plan. Check the sticky at the top of the page, follow the instructions, and go for what has worked for hundreds of people here - listening to Suzanne. She's an NCLEX champ!

There are some changes between the 2 and the 4th also contains questions in the new format SATA etc. I would say it is worth it if it will give you a better chance on passing
I'd like to get the latest eidition only if there are major differences between 3rd and 4th. My book is roughly 2 years old and it would be a shame if I had to replace it already I would love to try out Suzzane's plan since so many people have been successful. What is the minimun length of time to complete her plan? There is so much pressure for me to start working because my fiancee is having so a hard time carrying the financial burden by herself
Thank you Silverdragon. I will run down to my local barnes and nobles to see if they have it. My Fiancee can also use it when she starts nursing school next fall :)
It's about 2 months.
Look, think fo it this way. What did Kaplan cost you? What does the exam cost you?
Buy the new book! There are changes particularly in the new format and SATA questions.
Silverdragon are you also familiar with the Saunders Q and A book (orange book) Do you think this would be a good complement to the comprehensive review book?

That is definately a good way of looking at it. I just called my nearest bookstore and they have it in stock. Thanks for the advice :)

:) Hi!
If you haven't gotten official results yet, you don't know that you failed, therefore beginning to prepare to study again is not the route I would suggest you take as of yet. Please just wait for your results, you may be surprised! And then you won't have to go and purchase new books! :)
Best wishes to you for a successful outcome!

I know it is hard when finances are poor and rushing to pass could actually be worse than taking time and passing. I would just get the Saunders Comprehensive review and work using Suzanne's plan.
