Who else out there is preparing to apply to either Wesleyan or TCU for 2008? I'm just preparing to sit for my CCRN (I have my CNRN that Wesleyan will accept but not TCU) & take my GRE. I know the deadline for TCU is October & Wesleyan has moved theirs up to Dec. 1. Not much time left. Anyone out there received any tips for admission?:uhoh21:
It is hard to find much of a comparison between all of the Texas anesthesia schools.
But looking around online, i did find that Baylor's length of school is 30 months and UT Houston's is 32 months...(think financial, TWU and TCU length of school is 28 months) These schools also have all of their coursework and clinicals right there in Houston, so this could be a factor for you too, and they also have a significantly smaller class size.
All the programs graduate competent CRNAs, I am sure, so deciding where to go could come down to those little factors for you.
Continuing to stalk the mailman...have to see it in writing to make it official in my mind!
Ok guys. It's official. I received my TCU letter today and.....drumroll.....I GOT IN! I cannot believe it! Still very much in shock. Got clinicals at JPS. Think I am going to faint now........
Congratulations!! I, along with many others I'm sure, have read your story on this board. I never had a doubt you would make it in! Enjoy that feeling!!! Also, best of luck to all those who are waiting for letters!

Congratulations everyone on getting into school!!! I just heard that I have also been accepted to Mercer/MCCG so I will be making someone on the waiting list at TWU very happy. Good luck to everybody!!!! Have all the fun you can in the next 6 months because I have a feeling we won't have much for the 28 months following that!!!!!
