I made eligible by CA BON on june 2011. I registered pearson vue on sept. 2012 and got an ATT with a validity test from sept. 2012 - sept. 2013. I made an appointment to take yesterday aug. 18, 2013. I forgot to call to cancel that appointment because am not really prepared to take the exam due to some changes in life, moving, kids and work. I don't have plan to take anytime soon. Should I call the CA BON to inform them or I should I wait until my ATT expired which is next month or let it go and do the process again to reapply when I am ready to take the test.

This is on pg 2 of the ATT form:
"If you fail to keep your appointment or do not re-schedule or unschedule your appointment at least 24 business hours prior to your scheduled appointment, you will forfeit your exam fee and your Authorization to Test (ATT) will be invalidated. You will be required to reregister and repay the examination fee. There are no exceptions for any reason. If you do not test within the validity dates as indicated on your ATT, youwillloseyourNCLEXExamfee. Thesevaliditydatescannotbeextendedforanyreason. From my understanding, if you have already scheduled and missed the appointment then you automatically forfeit the $200 testing fee. I don't think that it counts against the number of test attempts (if your state has one), however, it is considered a no-call/no-show in terms of getting a new date or refund. I assume that you are an international student and you may have been given a one year application window through your state board and not Pearson VUE? If that's the case, you may want to contact the CA BON to make sure. Good luck with everything!

If you don't cancel with at least 24 hour notice, you forfeit your 200 dollar exam fee. I was actually just reading over this earlier in the email they send along with the ATT. It says that absolutely no excuse or reason will be considered valid.
I think some states vary in terms of how long the ATT is valid.

Validity does not equal scheduling/paying.
So... you spaced out on it, didn't read the instructions, didn't give the required notice, and now you're out two hundred bucks. Expensive lesson, but as my grandmother used to say, some of us are put on this earth to be examples to others, one way or another. Thanks for doing your part. :) Good luck on your next go-round.
