I just turned in three of my four applications , and I'm already sweating bullets! Just thought I would start a support thread for those of us impatiently awaiting results for the Spring of 2008.

I got my call from the Nursing Department.... I"M IN:balloons:

I just about screamed my head off with excitement. FINALLY... I can get started on my dream. I am really excited because Some alternates get called a week before school starts or even days. I got called months before, 4 days after all the others received their accepted letters as well. Whoo hoo!!! Preparation time.

To those who are still waiting or are on the alternate list.... Keep your head up, you'll get there sooner then you know.

Whooooo Hoooooo!!!! I'm sooo excited!!!

A week and a half ago I called my school of choice to see if they sent out letters and she told the first round went out to everyone on the point scale of 10 and above. Unfortunatly, I was a 9=(.....BUT she said depending on how many showed up on the Nov 6th orientation they would then go into the second round of letters.

Well, today I couldn't take it anymore and called again. She told me they were def. sending the second round of letters starting with the 9's and I was a 9....I asked if that looks good for me and she said "looks real good"...Whoo hoo!!! Trying not to get too excited till I get a letter, but I can't help it!!!

I didnt get in!! I was bummed at first, but I'll just keep taking classes toward my BSN. It sucks because I feel like Im going to be OLD when I finish! I just feel like I need to HURRY up and get it done, ya know?

Im just looking to God, I know he has a reason for this, and it'll happen when it is supposed to!

hey I'm in NJ and we are all having the same issues. It made me feel better reading all of yours, about the waiting. Whast ever you do don't put all your eggs in one basket. Different colleges have different requirments , so apply to more than one if possible.

I didnt get in!! I was bummed at first, but I'll just keep taking classes toward my BSN. It sucks because I feel like Im going to be OLD when I finish! I just feel like I need to HURRY up and get it done, ya know?

I agree...hang in there. I have been in school for 3 1/2 years! And I am just now starting my Nursing Classes after finishing pre-req's in the Spring. I was upset not to get in for Fall because I was done, but I figured there was a reason. So, now I will begin in the spring and I don't know how old you are, but I'm 31 and will be 33 when I graduate with my ADN.

Best of luck and taking classes towards your BSN is an awesome plan in my opinion!!!

Oh wow after reading everyone's (well almost everyone's post) I think I need to have a plan B or at least apply to other community colleges in nj. Unfortunately, our program here are only accepting applications for the Fall no spring entrance. So far what I know there's 100 opening spots per year this coming Fall of 2008. I've gotten all of my pre-reqs, but just waiting to take the TEAS exam which is similar to any other nursing pre-entrance exam. Been studying but so stress out that I can't quite remember anything the next day. Any advice?
