hi...this question may be kind of odd...but for the past year and a half i have gained 42lbs...any nurses out there wear girdles under your scrubs to look a bit smaller?...i have noticed that wearing scrubs really made me gain some weight...i believe too the added stress and my eating habits that i am working on to change...i was curious to find out...b/c i am considering wearing a girdle under scrubs to control my "extra" baggage...lol...i can't believe im actually asking this but there is a co-worker of mine who does this and she has said that it actually has controlled her "eating"... and feels better wearing one...and has lost weight...any input would be greatly appreciated ladies!!...btw...work days and evenings...XoXo
I gained 54 pounds while working at a stressful job, when I decided to quit that job and travel about 20 pounds came off without working at it. I landed in a small town as a travel nurse in a facility that was quite vague about most everything and gained back 30 pounds. Now I am in a wonderful facility and I have lost about 30#. Stress seems to be my problem.

After I strained my back I tried to wear my back brace under my uniform. It acted like a kind of girdle. It was so uncomfortable I stopped wearing it at all. I tried a girdle type garment one time with the same results. Just couldn't move right or breathe easily.
