Do you wash them on the delicate cycle in the washer? (and avoid the dryer)
I'm getting tired of handwashing these things.

i wear jobst stockings. i like these because they actually fit (more sizes than teds) and if i put them in the delicate cycle and air dry, they last for a year or more. oh, and they come in colors other than white.
ooooo colors. i did a search, but can't find any retailers.
i'll try again.

When I was a student nurse I bought some fantastic support hose from JC Penneys and from Sears and they were very reasonable. Both stores gave me a free net bag to wash them in and they were ohhh so comfortable. :)

A lot of my coworkers swear by Jobst brand hose. They are a little expensive, but if you order a bunch at once they're cheaper. One of our nurses orders them once a year, and puts up a sign-up list with their catalog. That way, there are so many ordering that they get a discount. I'm sure they have a website out there.I tried Futuro brand hose from Walgreens. They worked really well but I was so hot I couldn't stand it. I am normally warm, so hose never help! I do like the Leggs brand "sheer energy" type hose because they're much cooler, but they don't work near as well as the Futuro ones, which are truly pressure support hose.

eBay?
We're told that's stealing, unless we're paying for them.
I have to agree. That's what I was thinking too.
i have a stupid question.
i have been wanting to try such a product because for some reason by the end of the day one ankle is almost hanging over my shoe from edema, the other is fine. it almost looks worse than if both were hanging over my shoes.
i went to the jobst website and there are lots of types and varieties. which one do i want? does it matter if it is for diabetics or one of the other many types they make? i also have no clue which type i want meaning, how hard they will be to put on. lol do i want the lighter weight ones that will be easier to put on or do they even work for those who wear them at work? or, do i need the type where a crane will have to pull them up?
i'm having visions of the very first time i tried to put teds on a patient. wow! what a work out!
