hi everyone, I'm going to apply to CSUCI's nursing program in a few months and within their supplemental criteria, there was the choice of either doing volunteer or work experience, with the minimum of 200 hours. I've already worked 3 months (more than 200 hours) as a CNA which qualifies as work experience. But when applying, do I still have to be working in order for the hours to count? Because I'm thinking of quitting my job as a CNA due to family reasons, and I earned all of the necessary 200 hours, I was just wondering if I have to be working at the time of application.
thank you!

no, because experience is experience. but they might wonder if your experience is very remote. if it's less than 6-12 months, probably ok and you can explain what you learned doing it, how much you're looking forward to getting back into the clinical area.
