Hi, you can still take NCLEX without having a license in the Philippines. A lot of people do the same thing and that's what I did too. I left Manila after my graduation, didn't have a chance to take the local board. And was still able to get a license here in US.

Just a reminder, you can't speak tagalog here. My post was removed because I didn't know and I also forgot that a lot of people from different parts on the world are browsing here in allnurses, they will not be able to understand it.

Hi i'm from Philippines. I want to take NCLEX this october, any suggestions where I can review here in California? I prefer live classes than online review. I've read some reviews about Kaplan and I think I'm going for it. Is it okay for foreign students like me? I really want to pass NCLEX. thanks :)

Yes, Kaplan is okay for foreign students. I took Kaplan and passed it with 75 questions. But one thing you should know about Kaplan review classes - they are a bit expensive (700 dollars) and it only teaches you test taking skills and decision making on picking the answer. It will not teach you any content, you have to learn all that your self. Their qbank questions are very similar to the nclex ones and very hard ones as well. I think its very wise to invest in a live review class. And as much as possible, stick to only a few references.

yes, you can take the exam without a license in the philippines. but i think you need to have a ssn. i didn't take the local board after i graduated

hello kababayan! i graduated in phil 5 years ago and i dont have license in our country i took up the board last 2006 and i failed, im here in california now,do i need to enrol refresher course to take the NCLEX exam?Any advise what should i do? thank you so much..

hi! I'm from the Philippines too. I have a friend here that didn't take the Phils. local board and they allowed her to take the Nclex. As for me, I graduated 6 years ago and applied for Nclex last yr and they didn't asked for my local license as well. Unfortunately, I didn't make it :crying2: . I applied again and got my eligibility but haven't registered yet. Planning to take it again this December. :) Good luck to you!

:tinkbll::tinkbll:hi all! i'm also graduated in the philippines and currently attending the review class in america healthways center. the instructor is a filipino and he is very good at it. a very kind-hearted person and very intelligent. mostly the students are filipinos. i also attended the kaplan course but it didn't work for me.
