I told my family that I want to be a nurse and my brother laughed and dissed at me.
I get ribbed all the time from my friends calling me Mr Nurse and "Focker". But that's the way I interact with them.
Before I went into nursing school I was seriously uninformed in the knowledge and skills that a nurse possess. Maybe they are uninformed as well.
I would say use this to develop your sense of humor and learn to laugh at things, especially yourself, more.
My cousin screws with me sometimes haha but it's a family thing I guess. None of my friends do it, but truly doesn't matter unless someone is doing it to you in a malicious way. Nurse doesn't = female just because it's predominantly female. Males are popping up all over the place nowadays.
