Hey gals and guys I think I have found gold!!!! Mkue, I read your post and if you are having trouble with care plans I think I can help (and anyone else who has trouble with them). I have found the book "nursing Diagnosis Reference Manual, Fifth Ed. by Springhouse. On the front cover there is 4 faces of each developmental stage and a hand in the middle. I think this book is golden and is going to save me the long hard hours that care plans take! I swear..you all have to look at this book! It's great!!!! Good luck! :D :D

My girlfriend got it at barnes and noble. I just called and ordered it. I would check out local bookstores where you are at to see if they have it so you can take a look at it to see if you like it. Better yet I would call them to see if they even have it! It is unreal! They might need the ISBN # and it is 1-58255-072-7
As I said it is unreal and it just took me 10 minutes to do a care plan on altered nurtrtion less than body requirements!! UNREAL!
I will certainly check it out, have to pick up a Pharm book Monday at Barnes and Noble, will see if they have it !
THANKS MelH!

That is one of the books on the recommended list for our program.... I already got it!
It was either this one or Carpenito's... but I found this one a bit cheaper so got it.
Hey Val,
Have you used it? What do you think about it?

hello, everyone! i am doing my cis (computer) assignment! heheh! this site just happened to come up! hehe!! :chuckle
i hate this class!:angryfire
I haven't used it yet... but I think I used Carpenito's book in AZ 3 years ago. I think it is still packed somewhere, which is another reason I went with the Spark and Taylor book
What I think is strange is that your program didn't put these on their book lists? On that note though, it worries me that mine did... they may expect us to write perfect care plans from them right away. I can't even remember my care plans from 3 years ago, or anything much at all for that matter!

I bought a Careplan book and used it. Can't remember the name of it, but I still have it and it's worth it's weight in gold to me! I would suggest to all of you new students to buy one!

We use Nursing Diagnosis Handbook: A guide to planning care 5th edition by Ackley and Ladwig.
It has been very helpful so far. I've seen this book at Barnes and Noble.
Have fun writing those careplans!!!!!
