My BF got this yesterday (he's a Major in a MEB in the Reserves)
For All Army Reserve Nurse Corps Officers:
Great News! The United States Army Reserve (USAR) is partnering with the University of North Carolina-Charlotte (UNC-Charlotte) in a move to increase the number of Registered Nurses with a Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing (BSN). If you currently hold an Associate Degree in Nursing and a commission in the United States Army Reserve as a Nurse, this pilot may be for you.
This new pilot is called the Strategic Army Reserve Nurse Training Pilot (SARNTP). Reserve Soldiers with an Associate Degree in Nursing who are currently attending Battle Assembly and in good standing are eligible to apply now.
The pilot is on-line, allowing Army Reserve Soldiers worldwide to participate. All pre-requisites must be completed prior to being admitted (all English, Math, Foreign Language courses must be completed). The last 30 credits must be completed through UNC-Charlotte to be awarded the degree.
Clinicals can be done at your usual work site or can be arranged thru UNC-Charlotte. Educational incentive programs such as Specialized Training Assistance Program (STRAP) and/or the Reserve GI Bill may be utilized to pay for or defray related costs.
Applications are now being accepted for Winter 2009. Applications, and Transcripts should be sent to USARC Surgeon Office, 1401 Deshler Street SW, Fort McPherson, GA 30330-2000. Major Battle is the POC. The Deadline is 15 December 2008.
Are you interested? Eight Reserve Soldiers will be selected!
Selection is based upon but not limited to:
. Standardized test scores
. GPA in core pre-requisite courses
. Letters of recommendation
. Army Standards and OERs
Additional consideration will be given to applicants living in Charlotte, North Carolina and surrounding areas. For additional information, please call MAJ Frank Battle, Nurse Staff Officer, Office of the Surgeon USARC.

Sounds pretty good. I wish there was a program to go RN to BSN without going into the Reserves. Can you go active after getting your degree?
