Do any of you have a certain body system or topic that you just can't stand studying? Or that you just do not get? For me, I absolutely DESPISE studying the brain and all those cranial nerves, and pretty much the entire nervous system. Sympathetic and para sympathetic systems.... I just don't get it! I get things confused and I have to constantly go over it again and again. Even though my class has been done with it since last semester, I still find myself studying it in my precious free time just because I'm so determined to figure it all out!
We just finished the circulatory system and I loved that. It's just a lot more interesting to me and easier to understand.
So what do you all hate studying?

I hate the circulatory system! I loved the para and sympathetic system, although it was a little confusing to me at first. I took Phamacoloy and in that text it explained it plain and simple. The book is Pharmacology connections to nursing practice by Michel Patrick Adams. It was so much simpler. Good luck.

I also love the CNS! It just gives me goosebumps! I'm in awe of the sympathetic and parasympathetic systems. I'm doing the respiratory system now and also enjoy this. I wasn't that fond on the heart, nor blood! I thought the circulatory system was so interesting. Kinda the body's main backbone system in a way. I thought learning that made everything else make a bit more sense. I hate vessel layers and membrane's! Ick! Funny how we all have different opinions. I guess this is where we'll start figuring out an area to specialize in maybe? I know I won't be in cardiac anything! Nor hematology! Neuro?????? Ummmm, maybe??????

I didn't really "hate" anything, but the nervous system, even as interesting as it was, was difficult for me to learn. I also didn't find the skeletal system all that interesting, although it was one of the easier topics for me. So far in AP2, I've liked everything, but I am REALLY looking forward to the reproductive system.

So far, I love it all. I am fascinated by the body and am awe of its complexity. That doesn't mean that sometimes I'm not left wondering how on earth I'm going to remember everything, but it's all just great. I'm having a great time in class. I'm such a geek I'll just sit and color on my anatomy coloring book while my hubby and I are vegging in the evening.

YES! I hate the nervous system. I LOVE A&P, truly, but when it comes to the NS it really pi**es me off. So you are not alone. I HAD a 99.8 average in the class that dropped to a low A because of the NS. Not so bad, no, but it still makes me mad, lol

I despise the Respiratory system !!! I have a test in a week and feel like I read and read to no avail...I get the concept...but as always I struggle to remember all the new words. I loved the heart :redpinkhe and seemed to GET IT rather quickly...even remembering the names of the parts was easy, which tells me that I can do, if I find it interesting.
