I am a male nurse and in my 2nd to last semester as a FNP student and I am having to sit out because I have to take women's health in clinical to graduate. Well I called 160 places in 3 states and all either were full or did not take male interns for women's health. How do you graduate if no one will take you? I don't know if I should transfer to school without women's health and lose a year or roll the dice and hope I get one for next term. But it I don't get one by next term I have last a year already. I am in MO but called in TN and KS.

Sounds like discrimination. Maybe the media could cover this story and shame the hospitals into accommodating you?

I wonder how many male OBs they have. That's horrible, OP. I hope you find a solution, and shame on your school for not resolving this BEFORE it cost you months of your life waiting.

I'm curious as to what the ratio between "full" and "no male interns" was, before I'll comment on that. Were more full, or more unwilling to take you because you were male?
Was your school unwilling to help at all? I find it so difficult to believe no one would take you because you are male, when there a many male doctors working in OB.
Has your school said this was an issue before?

If you missed out since they were full this semester, you should hopefully get in at those places next semester.

Why isn't your program helping you find an appropriate spot? Anyone in a 'choose your own adventure' type of program - that claims you'll be able to do clinical practicums in an area of your own choice.... is going to find this much harder to do. Most large organizations in my neck of the woods (including mine) will not accept any "one off" clinical practicums/rotations any longer due to the associated cost & liability. They're only working with schools that have formal agreements in place - complete with assignment of liability, supervision by appropriate faculty, etc.
