Fluid and Electrolytes help

Published

Hello everyone, thanks in advance for any help you can supply. I have my huge E&F exam comming up in a week and I was wondering if anyone knew of a good learning resource. I have the general concepts down but need more help with the critical thinking applied nursing questions. Any suggestions will be very welcomed, Thanks!

you will get better responses for questions about nursing school subjects if you post on these forums which are also part of allnurses.com https://allnurses.com/forums/f205/ - nursing student assistance forums or https://allnurses.com/forums/f50/ - the general nursing student discussion forum

there are lots of resources and web links listed there. fluid and electrolytes is a popular subject that comes up.

https://allnurses.com/forums/f199/easy-approach-acid-base-abnormalities-132845.html - good one page tutorial on acid-base balance

http://www.acid-base.com/ - the home page of an interactive acid-base tutorial for medical students by professor alan grogono at tulane university, but there are things in it that are useful for nursing students. click on buttons throughout the presentation for more specific information. you might want to click on the "alphabetical index" at the left side to get a listing of the subjects covered on this site to save time. also, check out the "links" for more acid-base tutorial sites.

please post again if you are looking for more specific information on specific electrolytes. i have lists of the common iv fluids and what is contained in them and what they are commonly used for.
