Fluid and Electrolytes help

Hello everyone, thanks in advance for any help you can supply. I have my huge E&F exam comming up in a week and I was wondering if anyone knew of a good learning resource. I have the general concepts down but need more help with the critical thinking applied nursing questions. Any suggestions will be very welcomed, Thanks!

Get an NCLEX test book. They have LOTS of applied knowledge questions therein.

I already have a couple but the questions aren't catagorized. Any NCLEX book I've ever looked through or used is just made up of a poppouri of questions.

Saunders NCLEX is divided into chapters. If it is fluid and lytes you are concerned about, Fluids and electrolytes made incredibly easy is great.

I have the 2006 Saunders - it is categorized.

What kind of program are you in? I just had my E&F test last week and it was "no big deal".

I'm in an ADN program just finishing off my second semester. I have heard from several staff members that they make this the most difficult test of the semester so it has everyone on edge. I will def have to check out the 2006 Saunders, not sure how I could have missed it, any post-test pointers?

I have "electrolytes made incredibly easy". It breaks everything down.

Any of the "Made Incredibly Easy" Books are awesome and I highly recommend them to all students. You can get books on assessments, F&E, Cardio, NCLEX RN or PN, and tons others. I have a few and I still use my MedSurg book frequently even after graduation. These books are a good investment and very easy to understand.

Very cool, thanks I will have to check those out as well, I appreciate all the responses!

Pdaddy, if I were you, I would go to the instructor and get some help. You can also ask in the class if any student can help you. Is there a student tutoring center?

There is a tutor, i don't think I need it though, I have a pretty good understanding of everything just thought if someone had a link to a nice tutorial, referance guides or practice questions that would help 'smooth the edges'. I do see the tutor before every exam for an exam review session which has always helped, and this time will be no exception. I just always try to get the best grade possible, so far I'm number two in my class and am shooting for that top spot, maybe I'm OCD, lol
